Surprise!

I wandered in to this restaurant after a nice walk through Bethesda. I admit my expectations were low but I was craving soup which I was sure they would have. The Tom Kha was a pleasing, and fairly traditional, reward for my stomach. They offer a condiments tray which serves several pickled... read more

Excellent fresh Thai food in a central location. Fast service and friendly staff. I ordered the red curry and it was delicious!

First the place looks cheap: design and ambiance are very poor. Service is ok but the food is really awful. Even the tap water is bad! Our worse restaurant experience in Bethesda ever...

Still good food, but was very disappointed to discover in November 2015 that Friday & Saturday jazz had been cancelled by the cheapskate owner. I'm not going to patronise this place again until he brings back the weekend jazz music that made this restaurant a charm

Sala Thai is a Thai food restaurant with a typical menu that you would find in this location for Thai food. It's not bad and has carry out to go also.

Very nice restaurant close to my hotel. Very clean and good service. Nice views of downtown if sit by picture window. Good Thai and not bad prices. Would definitely visit again.

I had eaten at another Sala Thai close to Dupont Circle, and decided to give this one a try with some friends during a recent business trip to Bethesda. The food was just as good. Very reasonable prices ($8-$12 for most entrees) and good service. I liked the fact that the waitress brought a selection of peppers and spices that... More

Good spicy Thai food. Place was deserted, which was kind of odd. Very nice staff. I enjoyed it and would go again.
