Upscale restaurant with little jazz trio in the evening. Reservations are best for dinner, not needed for weekday lunch. Whether you seat at the counter, or at a table, service is great! They have an outside area to sit, in front on the streetside. The menu is similar to the old Houston's menu it used to be, before the name... More

You can not beat the Woodmont Grill for the best Prime RIB. I go there almost once a week to eat and the service, food and live music is great! I also have had all their appetizers, which are great. They have a soup of the day, which changes with the season. They serve a heavier soup in the winter... More

So, admittedly, it was 3pm in the afternoon. Let's start there. It's a bit of an "off" hour for any resturant. Seeing that it was ex-Houstons (still Houstons?) had me very excited, especially since some of the items were Houston-ish. The server was wonderful - attentive, smiling and friendly. HOWEVER, everything was just not quite what I expected. The veggie... More

I made a reservation for last Saturday night. It was busy on this Saturday. I'd make a reservation. We had Three adults and one child. Everything was wonderful, and the fried oyster app was great. We had the ribs, crabcakes and the Ahi tuna. Service was excellent. We had a couple glasses of wine, they seemed like very generous pours.... More

Woodmont Grill (formerly Houston's) is one of our favorite Bethesda restaurants. The service is friendly, the live jazz music adds a cool vibe, and the food is delicious. Someone in our group always orders the ribs, which are falling-off-the-bone tender and yummy. Other favorites include the Flying Tuna Platter (seared sushi-grade tuna with a terrific side salad), the French Dip,... More

Fantastic atmosphere, great music and terrific food. I look forward to going to Bethesda for two reasons. One is for business, the second os for Woodmont Grill. Always crowded, especially at the bar where there is always great jazz music. I will be back, again and again.

Ordered the jumbo crab cakes and some assorted appetizers. Took almost 30 minutes for the appetizers to come out. The food was good but the service was exceptionally slow.

My husband and I met family there for brunch and the food did not disappoint. I had filet mignon and my husband had the ribs....we took leftovers so we could leave room for their homemade key lime pie. I definitely recommend it for a nice lunch / dinner. A little pricey but you can't beat the food or service.

A friend and I were looking for somewhere to get a light bite later in the evening and we were standing at a corner where there are restaurants in every direction. We chose the Woodmont Grill not knowing that they have live jazz (the combo was on break when we got there). We sat at the bar and had drinks... More
