Came here and got the Lobster Roll and it was the best lobster roll I've ever had! The service was fast and nice. The atmosphere was cool and it felt like I was in a Florida beachside cafe. I really loved this place.

So, it's not fine dining but....we are not from Maryland but love Maryland crab so we obviously want some awesome crab cakes as soon as possible when we arrive there. We wanted a place to walk to close to our hotel so I had found this place by reading about it right here on Trip advisor. I truly wish I... More

It's not exactly a cheap eat, but a good lobster sandwich is hard to find, Other items are also good, especially the top-notch clam chowder.

Visited this restaurant today after having it on my " must visit" restaurant for several months. It is a cute, rustic place in the middle of an urban area. The inside was decorated like a beach restaurant with picnic tables and a few booths. So far my companion and I are impressed. Server was cheerful and seemed to know her... More

The cold lobster rolls and the "crabcake BLT" are very good. The fries served with the BLT are fine. In late summer, they have soft shell (recently moulted) lobsters, which make the best lobster rolls. Service is casual to indifferent. The beer list is good. The prices are what you'd expect for downtown Bethesda (one of the more affluent Zip... More

This would be an excellent restaurant, if it were located at or near the beach. However, for an in-town location, it leaves something to be desired. Starting with the clam chowder, it was tasty but very watery. All chowders do not need to be thick and creamy, but this was lacking also in taste. The gulf shrimp were good and... More

Kitschy and fun decor resembles a Maine restaurant. There is outside seating, when weather permits. The lobster rolls are excellent and very buttery.

Driving through Bethesda, we decided to try Freddy's and skip our favorite Sala Thai:) this time. We had the clambake (dissappointing) and we had the fried clams (good). I also ordered their own concoction of Bloody Mary (not good at all --it is watered down something with a pinkish color). However, the baked beet salad was really good--it had crumbed... More

Perfect beachfront feel in Bethesda. The Good: The lobster roll was delicious. The lobster was tender, buttery, sweet delicious. I though I didnt like lobster - found out I do. The burger - well done burger was juicy and filling. The drinks were delicious but low on alcohol. The clam chowder had a good flavor but it was way too... More

This place was GREAT a year ago. Chris the bartender made the place come alive and had the kind of personality that drew people in and made strangers become friends. The lobster was more consistenly good then too. On my last (and I do mean last) trip there, the warm roll was acidic and mustardy. The new bartenders are ok... More
