Description: As more South Americans venture north with their cooking traditions and ingredients in hand, North Americans are getting the chance to sample these new foods and flavors. THE PARVA RESTAURANT BAR & LOUNGE has the Nuevo Latino cuisine as one example of the global gastronomic exchange that happens today, a fusion of traditional Latin flavors with global food trends. The rest of the world has become interested in the cuisines of South America, and new combinations will emerge. But the time-honored culinary traditions of Latin America remain intact. If you have not explored them already, new or old, don't miss out. You will fall in love with South American food. Our Chef now showcase Andean products such as alpaca meat, grains like quinoa and kiwicha, and unusual tubers such as yuca and maca in sophisticated new ways.

1 waitress, probably 1 cook, very slow service. Food was OK, but have better Peruvian food in the area. Parking was not bad that evening, but generally a problem in that area.

Not worth it. Much better Peruvian food available in Rockville or Wheaten. Because it's in Bethesda, it's overpriced. Worse, the food is OK at best. Won't go back.

My husband and I picked this place to go to in order to celebrate my birthday a couple of days early. We got there around 5pm on a Saturday night and the place was empty, but slowly started to pick up after we got there. The service was quick, the food came out hot and everything we tried was absolutely... More

What can I say this place has it all, literally! It has turned into a regular spot especially for dancing on Sat nights. With two levels of dancing. Lots of Latin flair upstairs with a large dance floor circled with reserved tables and bottle service. They know how to party upstairs for sure. Downstairs has always remained a mystery to... More

This was a very pleasant surprise for my GF wife and I. There are so many restaurants in Bethesda and we only learned about this through a coupon offer, which sometimes means the place is mediocre and is only trying to drum up business. The Parva was very good, starting with the waitress, Monica, who was amazing despite having to... More

Having had some disappointing dining experiences recently, I was not optimistic on my first visit to The Parva. But concern turned to pleasure as the food was very good, especially the starter platter. Service was very good - helpful without being over-attentive. Fortunately the waitress did not say "very good choice" when we chose the entrees. This expression has become... More

We ate here early on a weekday evening. It was quiet and the service was excellent. The food was incredible. Fresh ingredients combined to create unique flavors, strong and decisive. The three of us sampled from one another's plates and each dish stood out as something special. We will certainly be back.

A group of friends decided to try The Parva to celebrate a birthday, we were very pleased with the menu and drinks. There were several vegetarian and seafood options, I tried the "Ropa Vieja", arepas and the "Tres leches" dessert. They were all tasty, just be aware that the service is slow on a weeknight, we were having drinks and... More

Dined here with a friend. Service was excellent as was our food. Excellent cocktail menu. While on a Wednesday night, getting a seat was very easy, I have visited one other time on a Saturday night and the place was jam packed upstairs and downstairs. Music and dancing. Not too young a crowd. Will definitely be going back.

WOW! What an incredible menu! This restaurant does a fantastic job with the Spanish staples you're used to at other places but with their own twist... The gauc was smooth and whipped and tasty... Salsa was AMAZING and had a slight kick to it... Quesadillas were the best we've ever had and the empanadas were fresh and outstanding! They have... More
