Excellent dinner!

I visited here with my nephew while we were just walking around Bethesda looking for a place for dinner. We had planned on going somewhere else, but fortunately stumbled upon this place. The menu seemed to be more Italian than seafood, so I tried the chicken Marsala. It was the best I've ever had... read more

Went to Chef Tony's on a Saturday night--had not been there before. We were seated immediately even though we were a bit early for the reservation. We had the recommended starters--calimari & grilled Caeser salad-- and lobster & the scallops-- all really delicious and a terrific value ($27 for 1 1/2 pound lobster in Bethesda with sides). The service was... More

I encountered one of the best servers; gave me lots of attention. Food may not be as good as I expected. The crab soup was on the salty side; took it home to dilute it. I loved the grilled trout, however. The tiramisu dessert was only average; I've had better. It was an excellent value since I had a fining... More

We've been coming to Chef Tony's for a couple of years, usually with a Living Social or Groupon voucher. Not only is the food excellent, the service is wonderful too. This is a hidden gem in the quiet part of Bethesda.

What a revelation! Three of us had lunch/brunch here. Every bite of every dish was just perfect. And the service was spectacular. We eat out at least 3 times/week in the DC area. This was a singular experience. Chef Tony's grilled caesar salad is the best I've have ever had. Actually... everything was the best I've ever had. Thank you... More

Went in for a dinner on Sunday night. The restaurant was fully booked. We had a reservation and were seated right away. Service was excellent. Food as well - we ordered calamity, crab soup, salmon and chicken pasta.

This was my first lunch experience at Chef Tony's. I had the mussels to start, and they were very good. My wife had a salad and then for her entrée, she had the Scottish salmon. She enjoyed everything. I had the parmesan crusted sole. It was also very good and was served with mashed potatoes and fresh vegetables. I always... More

We were a group of 20 and we squeezed around the large table at the back of the restaurant which leads quickly to a problem since the servers have to "squeeze" between the patrons and the wall to bring the food and drinks..So, the soiled silverware fell on a colleague and I, luckily without injury or damage!! We shared appetizers... More

Chef Tony continues to deliver outstanding dishes in an elegant and cozy environment. Try the grilled salad with balsalmic and the fish dishes are delectable. Service is hit or miss at times but the foid makes it worth the occasional service flub.

We had heard great things about this Bethesda restaurant and went last night to give it a try with some friends. They have been publishing a lot of Groupons and other deals so I was a little suspicious but the server and the food quickly put any fears to rest. This is the real deal neighborhood restaurant, where the Chef/Owner... More
