We simply can't praise Cesco Osteria highly enough. We returned last Saturday to have the best prepared meal, served by the nicest staff you can find anywhere, at any price. And, the room is quiet. You can have a conversation at your table (which has become so rare these days).
The three of us split 2 appetizers: Lightly-seasoned tower of...

Cesco Osteria just opened for Brunch. It was fantastic! Great food, unlimited vodka breakfast, complimentary washington post and a accoustical guitar players. We stayed almost 2 1/2 hours and enjoyed a relaxing Sunday.
Cesco Osteria is located in a large space next to the Bethesda Metro Station previously occupied by a McCormick & Schmick's. The restaurant is nicely decorated with comfortable furniture, elegant glass lamps, and large open windows. Service on a quiet Sunday night was well coordinated and responsive. We enjoyed a very good amuse bouche of frittata and plate of breadsticks...

We went for a light late dinner last night. The pasta dishes were excellent! With many choices in Bethesda, Cesco is in the top price range. If two were to go in for a full dinner and a glass of wine each, the tab could easily reach $200 with tip. The food is very good but there are better values...

There is a large bar area, where the music was drumming very loudly, and I was concerned that this would ruin my meal; fortunately, the dining area around the corner is so vast that we were able to eat very quietly. We...

Close to Hyatt; great service.Excellent on 2 visits, on in August and one in October. Nice atmosphere. Indoor and outdoor seating.
We were late in getting there, but we were greeted warmly. Ordered a great Brunello with our pasta and then veal porterhouse steak along with braised short ribs. Service was fantastic. We will be back.
Fresh homemade pasta, round raviola stuffed with butternut squash in a cream sauce tickled our imagination and then pleasantly blessed our taste buds to start. Wow, what a dish! It would be hard to get better than that, but the lamb chops were thick, perfectly prepared, delicately seasoned, complemented nicely with risotto. The veal stuffed ravioli was good, but we...
