Don't think just Mexican

Plaza Azteca serves the traditional Mexican offerings but look further on the menu and also try some of the Latin American specialties. Sure the fajitas are delicious. But try the Peruvian pollo saltado (chicken with sautéed green peppers and onions with french fries in a great criollo sauce) or... read more

25 TIMES I've eaten there. Every, single time -- a winner. The seafood enchiladas (Wonderful) were better when they used lobster and scallops, but who's complaining? The carne asada is always cooked perfectly and the marinade makes this (again, every time) one of the best hunks of beef you'll ever get seared. the only thing I've noticed is that you... More

My wife and I have eaten here many times - and every time, the services is excellent, the staff is friendly, the Margaritas are great, the menu has great selections - and no matter which one you try, they're excellent. Beyond that, their Tres Leches cake is the best I've had anywhere: Great flavor, and very moist. We'll be back... More

We've been coming here from when it opened, a few years ago. It's in a small strip mall behind a major mall (Westfield Montgomery Mall,) behind a Home Depot and a post office. From a cursory view, you wouldn't think much of it. But these looks belie the quality of the food, which is excellent. It's not fancy, just the... More

What we ordered was very good, especially the pork marinated in bitter orange. Ceviche was very good. The loma saltada was also good.

We've been here many times when visiting family and friends in the area, but this evening nothing was quite as good. The service was sloppy, and forgot who ordered what. The meals just didn't have the "wow" we remembered. Perhaps it is different ownership? At any rate, we would probably not add this to the list next time we wander... More

I wasn't aware that salsa or pico de gallo could not be good, however, the complimentary salsa that was served up being seated was just strange. I wouldn't even call it pico as the size of the tomatoes and onions were so large that I would actually consider it to be a gazpacho and the foundational liquid was most likely... More

This is some of the best Mexican food around in a colorful, friendly atmosphere. We've eaten many items and they are all good! They occasionally send discount coupons to the neighborhood houses making the prices even better. The restaurant faces a parking lot near Home Depot north of Montgomery Mall, so it's not easily noticed, but it's definitely worth stopping... More

They call themselves "Fine Dining Mexican". Well the only part of "Fine Dining" I saw was the white table clothes, which is a nice touch, but not quite enough. Food was only average. No taste that makes you think "Wow" that's really good"! Service was good at the start, but I was by myself and working so I didn't order... More
