Good Middle Eastern in Bethesda

All of our dishes were very good. We particularly liked the chicken caesar salad and a rice dish with raisins and orange peel. Service was warm.

I had a delicious late lunch/early dinner here last week! This unassuming restaurant hosts a diverse menu of Persian/Middle Eastern cuisine: I opted for Seer Torshi as appetizer and Cornish Hen Kabob as the main course. The former was a real delicacy, as it takes almost a year to properly pickle and age following preparation. The latter was deliciously prepared... More

The menu is enticing, promising some very good food. I went a little past the noon hour. Unfortunately, the Persian rice I had been looking forward to was probably on a warmer a little too long. The flavors were not distinct. I had the lamb shank lunch special. While the meat had a good taste and was still tender, it... More

I would eat here again, but only because the food is pretty good. we eat in a lot of Mediterranean type places and this food was not bad. My lamb sandwich was smothered Ina good tzaziki and the tabouli was good. The falafel was over cooked, however and the hummus was very watery. The service was marginal and not very... More

Went here for reunion lunch with a old friend today. First, there's free parking. Hurrah. Walking in we appreciated the casual atmosphere and were happily met by appetizing smells. We were served Flatbread and a Persian tzatziki with a little salad of parsley, scallions and radishes as an amuse. Then we ordered Greek salad and lamb shish kabob with rice... More

I had the chance to walk around Bethesda and find lunch and found Kabob Bazaar. Ordered the Chicken Barg on bread -- really tasty and reasonable. The staff was very friendly and decidedly Persian. Heartily recommended -- these kabobs were first class.

Was having some Persian friends over for dinner. Wanted to do a "Kabob" night. Heard that they liked this place. Stopped by and worked with Kavan to put together very nice package. Kavan was FABULOUS! Friendly, informative and accommodating. Food was excellent.

We almost didn't go here because TripAdvisor showed them as closed on Mondays. Luckily, they were wrong. I ordered the chicken and shrimp feast - $18 for chicken, shrimp, rice, and Greek salad. I normally don't like tzatziki sauce, but this was a big exception. Loved it! Chicken was tender and well seasoned. Rice was good. Pita bread was good.... More
