I've eaten here twice and enjoyed it both times. As for the food, I wasn't overly fond of my chicken pot pie. I'd order something different next time. Only one of us really raved about their food (the quenelles). Small martinis, good wine list. The night we were there, wine was 25% off by the bottle. That evening the restaurant... More

I've been eating at Praline for years. Admittedly about 8 months ago it was looking and tasting a bit dreary. It's had a face lift, they have a new chef and a new manager from Nice. What a turn around. I've actually been 5 times since June. The new menu is delicious. Once light I had risotto with giant prawns,... More

Not only is the food very good, the service is excellent. While this isn't an inexpensive restaurant, the outdoor seating availability, pastries and abundant parking more than make up for prices. We all had fun and vowed to return. I recommend this restaurant highly.

This is a surprise hidden gem in an offbeat shopping center in the Cabin John area of Md just a bit off of MacArthur Blvd close to the District. Five of us had equally great meal starting with appetizers and ending with dessert. I had delicious mushroom soup! Others had onion soup. Three of us had duck that was absolutely... More

We went for lunch on a Thursday. We didn't arrive until 1:30 pm so there were few patrons. We chose to eat inside as it was very hot outside. We have purchased pastries and ficelle sandwiches to take home but had never eaten here. The ficelle sandwiches are superb, by the way as are the croissants and the cookies and... More

Walking in downstairs, you realise this is authentic French pastry, macaroons, chocolates; all made on site. Yummy. We buy our Buche de Noel here. Upstairs, the restaurant has nice salads, croque monsieur and madame, daily specials - and a second floor, umbrella-ed patio which catches the breeze in the summer. No loud music; attentive wait staff. I wish I could... More

Totally professional staff, warm greeting, and beautifully presented food. Praline is hard to beat for lunch or dinner. The crusty baguette slices are addictive, frites perfectly fried, and entrees all well thought out, seasoned and cooked as requested. Make sure to save room for something sweet, if only a pair of macarons with end-of-meal coffee. A busy place, so make... More

This neighborhood restaurant in the Sumner area of Bethesda offers consistently high quality French classics. Last night we got a reservation at the last minute and had great soups, coq au vin & cod beurre blance--all really outstanding. Have been a number of times and had a similar positive experience. Reasonable prices, attentive service, good wine list at decent prices,... More

Praline is absolutely five stars for its fabulous pastries and wonderful custom birthday cakes. We have also used them for catering and their Boeuf Bourguignon was fantastic. Despite being located in a fairly uninteresting shopping center, a late summer lunch of duck on the upper terrace surrounded by potted plants and accompanied by a nice rose can transport you momentarily...
