I was meeting a friend after dinner, and we decided to share a bottle of Malbec. The waiter was very nice and offered to allow us to taste the Malbec as we were trying to decide between two different Malbecs. We weren't really hungry but we did order the calamari, and I have to tell you it's one... read more

We stumbled on this little place while checking out the market next door. We were promptly seated and the greeter took our coats for us. We decided to try the Reuben sandwich and the Oakville burger. We were a little dissapointed that the waiter mistakenly ordered an open faced chicken sandwich instead of the Reuben, which meant we didn't get... More

We went for lunch and as we sat down we saw a plate being delivered to a near by table. It looked delicious so we inquired of the waiter and ordered the shrimp Cobb salad. An inspired choice! It was delicious, refreshing and ample. Our waiter was attentive and the setting quiet enough to hear my lunch partner. What a... More

One of my best friends likes to meet me here as it is convenient. Over the past few years I have eaten there four times. It gets worse and worse. Monday, July 22, 2013. Empty restaurant. Waiter had to be asked three times so we could get butter for bread that was at least two days old. My main course... More

We decided at the last minute to go to Oakville Grille on an early Sunday evening to celebrate something, and we were extremely pleased with our experience. The restaurant is quite lovely - white tablecloths, pretty stemware, a pretty decor that isn't trying too hard. It's wonderful if you can get a window table (which we did) and people watch.... More

Have had a business lunch here 3 times now with very good results each time. The menu changes with daily specials to add variety. This recent lunch we had an excellent crab cake with freshly prepared Cole slaw. My companion had gazpacho while I had a green salad with arugula, walnuts and cherry tomato. Seasoning in all was without a... More

DC visitors are unlikely to experience the fabulous lunches at the Oakville Grill, but for the fortunate who are in the area they won't go wrong by trying this restaurant. Small outdoor dining area on the sidewalk overlooking the parking lot, but the interior provides a pleasant dining experience. the summer salads were outstanding, the Reuben abundantly stuffed. Great selections... More

I believe you could pick anything on the menu and have a wonderful, delicious meal. The service was extraordinary.

I found the Oakville Grille while looking for a restaurant in the Bethesda area. It sounded good from the reviews, so I made a reservation for my son and me. The food was good, but not overwhelmingly so, but the service was a disappointment. Bread was served after a bit of a wait, but there was no butter with it.... More

Walking in the door, you aren't expecting much. However, once you are seated, the little place grows on you. Decent wine selection, reasonably priced and enjoyable salads and entrees. Service was pleasant and unrushed. The placed filled up but the noise level was acceptable. Will be back!
