Nice food in a pleasant atmosphere. Can get loud. Service can be slow, but when the food comes out, it comes out! Have them serve one dish at a time. You enjoy each dish on its own. Owner comes out to cut up whole, but not half, duck. Nice touch. friendly staff.

If food is the reason for your visit, you'll be pleasantly surprised. Indeed, the decor is so so but the service makes up for it. I would not go as far as others and say it is the best Chinese food in the DMV, but it's clearly value for money; we were surprised by the rather reasonable bill!

I have been coming here for over 10 years and I will never get tired of it!!!! My family and I always take our friends and family here, or eat it for take-out. The owner couldn't be nicer, and many local politicians and celebrities have gone there. I definitely recommend it for anyone who loves chinese food (or even if... More

Not much to say, crispy beef was rubbery not much sauce and on the bland side. Wife's general tso's was the same. Cooked fine but, really not much taste at all. I understand this Americanized Chinese food, buy it doesn't have to be like this.

Good quick service that I cannot fault. Reasonable range of vegetarian options. Chose a tofu dish which was ok, but no more than that, and would have preffered more taste rather than the speed at which it was served.

I found this place after searching for Chinese food in Bethesda which offers rather slim number of choices. The location is downtown, a block or 2 from main area. The place itself is not extravagant but is still fine. Service was initially brisk but cold. But then I had another server who was more attentive. The reason I thought service... More

After reading the other reviews, I decided to satisy my Chinese craving by trying this local establishment. For the most part, I was very pleased with the quality, taste and presentation of the food which is many levels better than the average Americanized Chinese restaurant. Not amazing or dazzling but defintiely solid. Having lived in Asia, I have a different... More

I enjoy Chinese-American food quite a bit, and my favorite dish is General Tso's Chicken. Therefore, I use this dish as a baseline to grade the restaurants I visit. I read the reviews on this site and while I disagree with the "amazing" reviews, I still think the restaurant is a safe bet as far as meeting expectations. Just don't... More

The food is delicious and the restaurant is family run. The owner is the chef and his wife works behind the bar, answering the phone, etc . His college daughter works there on holidays. A very nice atmosphere. I like his "specials" such as Walnut Chicken, Crispy Beef and Salt and Pepper Shrimp. The Eggplant with Hot Garlic Sauce is... More
