good food

The food here was pretty good. I got the salmon and it was cooked nicely and flavorful. My husband got the loin and really enjoyed it. My only complaints are that we came in the last 45 mins of them being open and I felt a little like I was putting them out by being here which leads to my... read more

I ate here for a business dinner. The beet salad was actually excellent. However my skirt steak rare needed a saw instead of a knife it was so tough. The asparagus had been grilled and was charred-and I HATE the taste of char. The garlic mashed potatoes had the texture of boxed with no discern able garlic and the gravy... More

I've been to Redwood a dozen or more times, mostly for convenience. One time, within the past year, with my husband and two friends, I had a meal that blew me away. In fact, all four of us were blown away. The food was phenomenal from beginning to end, including drinks (they have a top-notch bar) and desserts. All other... More

We went to brunch here on a beautiful Sunday, enjoyed the outdoor seating and bottomless mimosas! They offer two menus - one is for 3 course-one price and the other ala carte... we had several choices and loved every delicious bite! Several cocktail options - including 3 bloody marys... There is plentiful outdoor seating on a 'no traffic' side street,... More

What a great place to meet with friends and have some food and drink. The servers are friendly and good at what they do and the food is great. Going again soon.

I had high hopes for the relatively-new Redwood restaurant in Bethesda, however my first experience during the Bethesda Row Restaurant Week was quite average overall. Decor and atmosphere is urban-chic and modern, but service--from the initial greeting upon entry through the entire meal--needs polish and improvement. None of the staff seemed particularly cheerful or welcoming, which was disappointing. The food... More

Redwood has beautiful decor and outdoor seating in the Bethesda Row alley when the weather is nice. The staff is professional. The restrooms are clean. However, the food is very average.

Place looks nice and the servers are very nice and welcoming but the food is terrible. I ordered the skirt steak and left almost all of it The french fries were not even tempting. We were 9 people and no one liked their food. This is such a waste of nice space and location. We have so few quality restaurants... More

The food wasn't bad, but the service was awful. My friend and I had lunch here and we're one of three tables, so the poor service cannot be blamed on the volume of customers. For the price and the hassle of parking, it's just not worth it to return.

Great spot for lunch or dinner. Casual, fun. For lunch they have a terrific special menu, I recommend the fish tacos and the beet salad. Alternatively, the Greek salad with grille shrimp so also fabulous. Very reliable, good quality, good service. It has become my favorite spot in Bethesda fr a business lunch!
