Fair to middlin'

Go here for the ambiance; it sweeps you back to Italy. The food is fine if not spectacular. Lots of dining areas. Good news: I just won a $4-mllion lottery: Four dollars a year for the next million years!

The atmostphere and service are a little old fashioned. The foods good. The portion sizes are all over the place. I've only been there when there were only a few other customers, but the place seems well established enough to have a regular crowd.

Nice staff, fresh and yummy. Pasta's all good. Have a veal dish which was light and top notch. Fair prices, Eggplant and chicken parm were both hits as well. Real Rum cake for dessert. I would definitely do a return visit. Service was fast and friendly although it was very quiet on a Tuesday night. Cute atmosphere, very "village square"... More

It was a first time visit for me and friends to find a place to meet up and catch up on life and our families. MEAL: admittedly, I scour a menu to see what I CAN'T cook and though I was confident that I could make 75% of what was offered on the menu, I was thrilled to see eggplant... More

I’ll start off with my bottom line, it was good, a little pricy, but just not my thing. I can see why a couple could like this place, it was quiet and had a good atmosphere for a hole in the wall Italian place. If you want something more modern, upbeat, open, or new… this might not fit the bill.... More

A friendly and fairly quiet place in Bethesda. Very friendly atmosphere, helpful staff, good food in the Italian-American style.

If you haven't been to Positano's you really have to because not only is the food amazing but the ambiance is spectacular. My daughter and I celebrated her birthday there and the outdoor terrace is truly magical. We were even serenaded with music. We'd just visited Positano in Italy and we felt as if we were back there for the... More

The atmosphere was that of an Italian village and my husband and I felt as though we were on vacation! Jimmy (the owner) and Fernando (dining staffer) were the best! They made us feel as though we were dining in their personal home. This was a first visit for my husband and I and we can't wait to return!! The... More

We went to this restaurant for the first time with a coupon. The atmosphere itself was pleasant. Our dinner was very tasty on a special menu. We looked at the regular menu and found quite a few dishes that we would enjoy. We will definitely go there again.

We rented a room--the Wine Room--for a family dinner with 25 out-of-town guests. During hors d'ouvres, a guitar musician from Georgia unexpected walked in and wowed everyone with Russian, Georgian and other songs. Then came a wonderful dinner, all of it arranged perfectly by Jimmy Traettino, who aptly calls himself the "chief everything officer." I highly recommend this place. I'd... More
