Great Chowda on a cold snowy night

We stopped in last week for an early supper. Had the reuben balls for appetizer--they were outstanding. The Guinness was a perfect pour with a shamrock on top. The seafood chowder, in a cup or bowl was delicious and filled with seafood. It was not the creamed soup with a lot of filler, but a... read more

Very average menu very well prepared. If you are looking for a place to sit down, have a beer and make some friends come here. The staff has always been friendly and attentive but not too much. The beer is good and the shamrock on the head of your Guinness is a nice touch. Prices are reasonable and the patrons... More

Have been to Bolan's many times, but have to say last night was particularly delicious. Had the NY Strip special and it was very good. I will say there was some gristle in the steak, but overall it was flavorful and perfectly cooked to order. I would be more upset about the gristle if I were at a steakhouse. I... More

Grabbed a cup of the crab soup and a pretzel with a Smithwick's to wash it down. Deelish. Prices reasonable and a nice pub feel. Cheers!

I've been here a couple times with my friends for dinner. Let me say at the outset that I admire an Irish Pub that knows how to properly pour a Guinness Stout... I had the fish sandwich which was quiet good. Deep Fried... It was cooked well... not greasy at all. and the beers are served cold. The staff are... More

It's official.. People from Bel Air don't know jack about food let alone writing about it. You people will settle for anything if you think this place is remotely Irish. In fact most of the restaurants in your town are horrible and you dummies say it's great.. Laughable and sad. Boland food is fried greasy interpretational stuff. Heads up.. Shepherds... More

While traveling home from New England, we were getting road weary so I asked my wife to check out restaurants down the road. I suggested Bel Air, never having been there and she picks Sean Bolans. Doesn't look like much from the outside and from the inside it looks like a neighborhood bar. Looks are deceiving! I ordered the Pork... More

Bolan's should never let the chef go. He is a rare find who creates masterpieces. Any kind of steak you get is usually served in an excellent but not overwhelming sauce. The wings and all the there apps are great also. Specials all through the week so check the website.

My wife and went to Sean Bolan's for our anniversary. What we didn't know it was "First Friday" in Bel Air. The restaurant was packed. The staff did a great job keeping drinks and food moving. We definitely will go back.
