Stopped by the Nubble Lighthouse for a visit and then went to Fox's for lunch. I had the New England Clam Chowder. It was so creamy and rich with full belly clams (love them) and bits of potato. My husband had Lobster bisque, a unique flavor with pieces of lobster. It was creamy and savory. You can eat out side... More

Spent the weekend in Ogunquit, but would eat dinner nowhere else but Fox's. We love the take out and eating overlooking Nubble Light and the ocean. Food is fresh and excellent, staff is wonderful.

Stopped in for a late lunch on a rainy afternoon. Had a nice view of the Nubble Lighthouse. The lobster roll was very good, filled with a good amount of fresh lobster meat. The other lunch consisted of a chicken breast sandwich that was a bit of a disappointment with a small piece of chicken on a large roll. We... More

You'll have a long wait but that's pretty normal in this area. Not being a big seafood family we had low expectations for dinner. To our surprise we enjoyed the seafood very much. Skip the steak, it's not worth it. The golden fried lobster tails were awesome. You'll pay through the nose but that's part of being a tourist.

Maine has incredible lobster pounds dotting the Down East coast. The outdoor seating on picnic tables is a great way to enjoy fresh seafood while hearing the call of seagulls and watching boats cruise by. But with young children, sometimes it's nice to be in a confined indoor space. Fox has a nice room upstairs with great views of Nubble... More

Any trip to Maine should include a meal at Fox's Lobster House. To begin with, the location cannot be beat - it's right at Nubble Lighthouse, on the water. Spend some time sitting on the rocks and enjoying the scenery first. The food is very good, not cheap, but good. Eat outside if you can. Worth the trip.

This past long weekend we visited Foxes three times. It's excellent and we love it! The waitstaff there are some of the best! They hustle and work hard to make sure your meal is enjoyable! The chowder there is some of the best I've had! My family enjoyed the steamers, and the portions are generous. I had the boiled lobster... More

After spending some time at the Nubble Lighthouse, four of us had lunch down the hill at Fox's . We had the following: a hamburger (mediocre) with fries, a fishwich sandwich (very good) side of onion rings $2,45 extra, fried crabcakes (2) with salad (good) Caesar's salad (very good). We shared one slice of delicious blueberry pie ($6.00 for ONE slice).... ate at the picnic take out window as prices are more reasonable than sit down inside. Food was as always good. We return for the fish and chips each year. We have eaten inside in the past and had good meals but only consider paying the prices in my opinion when you can be there during a storm for the... More

Fox's does provide some of the best views in York but it also is dependable to get a good meal. The haddock is always good, but my favorite is the lobster mac and cheese. There are huge hunks of lobster, so you're not picking around to find just a few bits. Desserts are homemade and the best though--whether it's the... More
