Delicious but Pricy

Food was great, atmosphere wonderful, and OMG the view. However, very much on the pricy side, but I guess that is to be expected considering.

My husband and I stopped on a Thursday night recently. The view is breathtaking of the ocean and Nubble Lighthouse. The lobster was fresh and delicious. My husband enjoyed fried shrimp and clams. We both started dinner with sweet, luscious lobster bisque. Service is attentive and friendly. All in all a great evening!

We likes the food so much we ate here 3 times in 3 days. The fried haddock and shrimp is fantastic, the chowder is #1 (after 6 cups of chowder in 3 days they got our vote of #1. The baked stuffed lobster was the best my husband every had (that says a lot for him).

Great cocktails followed by lobster bisque for both of us. My husband had the lobster shore dinner and I had a signature dish of baked haddock. The fish was fresh and sweet as was the lobster. Our server was Bette and she was a delight. Save room for dessert because Phyllis makes the best blueberry pie, with the flakiest crust,... More

There is a difference in opinion between myself and my wife, she feels both our visits were great and consistent. I feel my Lobsta this time was much better then the first time it wasn't memorable. My 2lber. was done to perfection meat was exceptionally sweet as Lobsta can be when prepared right. Staying away from French Fries as much... More

We stopped in for ice cream this week when we visited the Nubble Lighthouse right next door. The cones were $5 each and somewhat disappointing. I got the Maine Blueberry and it tasted like it had been frozen for a long time. There really was not a blueberry flavor- it tasted like vanilla. There's a restaurant there but we have... More

The views are great, but pricey for the atmosphere. Other places in York with better food and more value.

We enjoyed our visit to foxes. We have been coming to York for years, and always wanted to try fox's. Great window seat and view of nubble lighthouse, great service and quick too. Food was average at best. York has some very tough competition when it comes to fresh seafood. Would definitely go back

We went to York Beach to visit family and with that, each time, comes the visit to Fox's Restaurant. You can park over in the lot and take pictures of one of the most photographed lighthouses around, The Nubble Lighthouse and listen to the waves crash and then head back over to the restaurant for the best lobster in the... Dined here the last night of the season. Although the dishes we tried were flavorful, portions all around the table seemed lacking. Fried lobster appetizer was delicious. We had the lazy lobster, which was a great idea as we watched our fellow diners struggle with their whole lobsters!
