Description: The approach to the Dockside Restaurant is all part of the Dockside’s charm. You are treated to views of the York River and the grand “summer cottages” as you turn onto Harris Island Road to reach Dockside Restaurant. The view is quintessential Maine, people hustling up and down the docks, gleaming yachts and colorful lobster boats in front of a rock and pine-tree shore. Dockside’s recent renovation is perfect, warm and comfortable. Hardwood floors, European style lighting floor to ceiling window and a new mahogany bar with an adjoining outdoor cocktail deck. During warm months seating is available on our harbor view screen porch. The atmosphere is casual but the food is serious. Chef Dennis la Planet has been recognized as a “chef’s chef”. North Atlantic seafood prepared with a northern Italian influence and aged steaks are just the start. Lunch features organic salads, creative sandwiches and traditional favorites; fish and chips, chowders and fried clams too.

Stayed 3 nights for a wedding. The location and service were wonderful. Breakfast was ample and delicious. Wedding party stayed in the main building. Guests were spread among several "cabins" and other out buildings on the grounds. All accommodations are within easy walk (3 min) of main house. Water views and direct water access, although not really a swimming location.... More

A trip to Maine and the fall colors put us in York Harbor, we found this place by wandering and were pleased to find it. Lobster dinner was excellent. The ambiance and setting were comfortable. The wait staff was attentive and pleasant. If we are in the area again, we would return.

One certainly needs a GPS to find this place! Very hidden on a narrow road skirting the harbor. Beautiful views once you find it. Food was hot when served which is a huge plus for me. My portion of duck with stuffing was generous, but felt the other guests' portions of fish were scanty for the price charged. Green salad... More

Staying at the B&B we should clearly dine here. The bread served during the meal is delicious. So is the New England Seafood Chowder and the crab cakes

This is one of our favorite restaurants. We make reservations to insure we get a table with a good view. The food is great, the service is friendly and the view is pure coast of Maine. i only wish they were open in the winter,

We could have sat on the deck and watched the boats all day and enjoyed the great food and drink here. The baked stuffed lobster, although timely, was well worth it. As a New Englander, I have been eating various forms of lobster my whole life, this was the best I have ever had. My only reason for not giving... More

We were staying at the Inn next door, so after two heavy-hitting days of sightseeing, it was just too tempting not to head over here for dinner. Each night, dinner was very good--I recommend the shrimp trio as an appetizer, the flavors are stunning and the shrimp linguini for dinner is light, but flavorful. Also, the homemade blueberry pie for... More

We recently had two dinners at the Dockside Restaurant. Both times we each had the same meal as we so enjoyed them the first (and second) times. The crab cakes were good - but two for an appetizer was too big for me. I suggest you share that one. My husband had a garden salad and was really pleased with... More

Nice location, pleasant porch. Service was ok, not great. Food quality average - large portions and over-sauced. If you come, split a couple of appetizers and a dessert. That, with drinks, would make a pleasant interlude.
