Treating my mother-in-law for breakfast

Found this eatery in August of 2014. As long as we continue to come to York, ME, it will be a regular stop. Food is great, service was friendly as well as great. Wife had blueberry pancakes, mother-in-law had one of their daily special, (2)eggs with sausage and gravy, I had a couple of their... read more

This was my first visit to Rick's here in York, ME. My York friend and I had breakfast this morning while my wife and I were visiting friends here today. Rick's is about the last truly local, Mom-n-Pop breakfast restaurant left in York. It was spacious, friendly, good service, delicious, reasonable-priced breakfast food, but some of the tables weren't clean... More

The food was average at best. we had breakfast there and wasn't overly impressed. I found the waitress to be very abrupt and not friendly at all. Seemed very crowded in the area where we were seated while they had an entire room that was almost empty. I doubt I will be going back. I would recommend Norma's on route... More

Being locals, our options for breakfast places are limited. Rick's used to be our go to place but the last three times, we're done. The food was horrible ...service slow and inattentive and didn't care how awful everything was. The people just before us in the door ordered, ate and left before ours was anywhere close to coming. When it... More

While vacationing in York it was recommended by our hotel staff that we go to Rick's for breakfast. It was a short drive from the Anchorage Inn. I had the mushroom and cheese omelet and it was very flavorful. Came with home-fries and toast. Coffee was hot and they kept it coming. My friend had the peaches and cream French... More

When you first enter Ricks, it looks a little dark and dismal. They've not wasted money on decor. And why should they . . . the food and service sells this place. When we really want to treat ourselves to a full-on breakfast, including oatmeal (my favorite) done the way it is supposed to be done, this is where we... More

On our first visit for breakfast we had not yet moved to town...breakfast was good and service was fine & friendly. We knew we would be back after our move and Ricks was sure to become our breakfast spot. Now living in York we came to Ricks for breakfast with our kids, as always the restaurant was very busy. We...
