Once again, while in York, we opted to have dinner at Lobster Cove and found it to be as good as always. The service continues to be timely, the staff friendly and the food well-prepared. This year our hotel had an arrangement for breakfasts at Lobster Cove, so we got to sample their morning fare also. We found that well... More

We went on a Sunday morning around 10:30 party of 5 no wait. It was so hot and crowded inside we asked to sit outside. Even outside the tables are on top of each other very uncomfortable. It took forever for someone just to take our drink order coffee was poured but we had no silverware once we asked she... More

A wonderful restaurant, the view is unbelievable, go some time during a storm. The food is very good, not gourmet, but very satisfying, don't miss the $3.99 tub of mussels at the bar....really,really good. The fried clams are super, as are all the fried entrees. Can't say enough about my hometown eatery. Oh, and Hannah the bartender, is great..say hello... More

Breakfast for 3 adults came to about $32 with tax and tip- par for the area. Service was attentive, but not intrusive. Great coffee. My daughter said her omelet was terrific, tender and not overcooked or rubbery, and my husband said the scrambled eggs tasted cooked to order, not scrambled en masse and kept hot on either the grill or... We stopped for a late dinner. We were seated promptly at a window table with a great view. The chowder was delicious, best I had on the whole visit to Maine. The prime rib was cood to perfection and quite tasty. My baked stuffed lobster was so yummy! Stuffing had all kids of seafood, piled high and the lobster was... More

Nice prime rib, great potatoes, breakfast is good, reasonable prices, casual and if you can sit on the deck you have a nice view. We had both dinner and breakfast here and it was good each time.

In the past my reviews of the Lobster Cove had expressed some disappointment in the inconsistency, especially of service. This time we hit the jackpot, with both the food and service being great. The broiled haddock was excellent. Friends were up for the week and they went 4 times, loving it. The prices do seem higher than I remember, but... More

We are glad to hear that you have been enjoying the restaurant and we hope you will return again soon! As for the outdoor seating it may just be the timing of your arrival as the hosts try to rotate through all sections when seating and since there are 6 indoor sections and only two outdoor sections it may seem... We went to Maine for Lobster and the Lobster Cove does a twin lobster dinner for a very reasonable price. We were greeted as soon as we entered the doorway. We requested the second floor, which has a beautiful view of the ocean. Our waitress was friendly and attentive. The lobsters were new lobsters so they were tender and sweet.... More

We were there twice last week while we were camping across the road. The first night I had a baked potato and a grilled chicken salad. My boyfriend wanted steamers, but they were out. He wanted a particular beer, but they were out. The second visit I had a cup of lobster bisque and the baked stuffed haddock. The lobster... More

Simple, high quality ingredients go into their food and that is all they need to make excellent meals. Speaking as a southern California girl on her first visit to Maine, I could not have been happier with my classic whole lobster meal. I was a bit squeamish about eating it whole, so I put a napkin "blindfold" on my lobster... More
