wonderful view - We started with a glass of wine for 7.00, which we felt was very reasonable, and the pour was good. I get so sick of paying $9.00 for three swallows of wine at other restaurants I had the downeast special - lobster, steamers and clam chowder. the lobster and steamers were fabulous - the chowder had good... The food here was great, my son tried his first lobster, wasn't a big hit with him. The reason for giving it a 5th star...for a first timer it would have been nice to have been able to order just lobster tail but that option is not on the menu. The service was excellent and the view was great. I... More

We are glad to hear that you enjoyed your visit to Lobster Cove. The specials that we offer on lobsters vary depending on the cost to us. We did have lobster tail on the menu at one time but it actually cost us more to carry than the whole lobster and the size of the tail was not adequate for... More

My wife, daughter, and I stopped here on 7/16 only to have the host/manager promise my 3yr old daughter ice cream (for no reason) after she was done with her meal yet somehow got amnesia when it was time. How for the life of me you can do that to a 3yr old who was so excited to get ice... More

We are sorry to hear about the unusual experience you had with the offering of ice cream to your 3 year old. I do not have a great response to that as it is quite baffling and I am chalking up to human error but will look into it. As for as the food complaint is concerned we regret that... More

Its a small parking lot but every extended cab pick up decided to park there instead of across the street on long sands. In any event the wife said her lobster was great and it was reasonably priced. My fried clams had a little too much coating but were decent and there were plenty of them. The clam chowder had... More

Sorry folks...this place left me humming Peggy Lee's 0ld hit, "Is that all there is." Located directly across the street from the beach in York, ME, this restaurant caters to the summer tourist crowd. The dining areas are a step down from a strip mall Rusty Scupper, but the view...ahh, the view! The second floor dining area does not appear... More

I had the prime rib with a side salad. I loved both but the prime rib seemed small for price but having said that I realize meat prices are currently through the roof. My son had a grilled cheese and even that was delicious. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Just across the street is the ocean so be... More

Had a wonderful tasting steamed lobster and steamed clams, both were very sweet and the clams were small and clean. Will go again next time I am at York Beach.

Homey little restaurant. We swent for breakfast as it was part of our hotels package. Food was fresh but not very impressive. They use texas toast for the french toast but was not cooked properly as the inside was just white bread with no flavor. Same for the hash brown.. very mushy with no flavor. We saw several plates from... More
