This place is a regular visit every time we go to York. The food and place are exactly what Maine is suppose to be. Rustic and old but cool. Some times the service can be a little sketchy but overall good food. We always get the mussels, typically they are on special and lobstas... All good. Enjoy.

For our group of eight, whole lobster was okay but other items (stuffing in seafood dishes, bread, green beans) were bland and/or cold. Clam chowder was watery and tasteless. People who had pasta thought it was okay. Waitress seemed confused most of the meal - forgot to bring some people their courses and brought the wrong meals.

The Lobster Barn has a kitschy, antique-decorated setting that is good for families and friends getting together. It isn't a very romantic place but that doesn't take away from its charm. The staff were very friendly and accommodating and food was what I wanted: fried and ready for me to dip in tartar sauce. One good take away is the... More

This place was one of the best meals we had while in Maine. Cute, old, rustic barn type building. The service was exceptional. Started off with fresh bread that my wife loved and their own, homemade cream soda that was yummy. Clam chowder was a little bland but still good. My wife had the turkey tips which she said were... We had a fantastic time in this great barn... Nicely decorated and serviced. Beer selection is great and the food was good too (I have had better chowder at other places tho).

Had the twin lobster twice in a 2 week span . Their brown bread is excellent and desserts outstanding. Service and atmosphere good too. Great place for families.

To start on a positive note, the best part of the whole experience was the waitress Noelle. We went as a party of 9 and were seating rather quickly. Just about all of our food portions were very small, except the Lobster Pie, that was surprisingly full of lobster. Stuffed mushroom caps was an appetizer special, they were flavorless and... More

We went with a large family as there are outside swings and an area to play. There are also adult horeshoes and bocci courts. Food was OK. Good for a all "atke out and eat on site" place. Service at the bar was worse than poor. For some reason the two women bartenders ignored people waiting to place orders. They... More

Went to the barn for the first time after coming to Maine for lots of summers. Loved the twin lobster dinner and apple crisp for dessert. Good prices and dessert is a must. We will go back

Went there the other night with family. Good food and prices. My teenage girls do not eat a lot so the waitress recommended they order off the children's menu which was great. Big portions so there was plenty of food to go around. Ordered the clam chowder. It is not a thick one like you sometimes find. Was looking for... More
