We decided as a New Year Res. to bring back a family monthly Lobster stew tradition so living in Eliot & going the convenient route I had been getting my lobster meat from a place on 236 from January to March then the price jumped pretty high for April so I remembered Maine Lobster Outlet (they used to be located... We rented a house and this was a great spot to get 10 lobsters for our group. We got live ones for $5/lb but they also sell cooked ones and lobster meat. I think their recommendation to cook them 16 minutes is too long. We followed instructions from lobsterfrommaine.com which tells you how to boil or steam them. We boiled... More

Great staff willing to help and pack take home orders. Good prices. Full selection of live lobsters sizes. Tubs of picked lobster meat - way to go for those who can do without shell cracking!

The lobster roll was wonderful, but I was disappointed that this really isn't a place to sit down and eat. It was more of a place to orders seafood to mail or ship out. They will prepare a sandwich in the kitchen for you, but no place to enjoy your food. It was pricey for a lobster sandwich, about 20... More

Maine lobster outlet really deals in lobster to restaurants, BUT they will cook them for you. We ordered 2 for noon and they were ready and conveniently packaged. We also had some of the best clam chosder ever. They also recommended a lobster pound on our route for later.

This is the only place we buy our lobster and chowder. We opt to purchase the lobster already cooked, shelled and sold in 1 lb containers fresh daily. If you have a lot of people at your house, ask for a bag of chowder. If only 2 or 3 people, 1 quart container is enough. It is the best you... More

This is the best meal you will ever have on a budget! Tonight we got ten pounds of cull lobsters. They were steamed, packed and ready to go for $30.00. We were all filled to the brim but they were so sweet and delicious. The equivalent meal would have been $150.00 in a restaurant. We love the folks at this... More

Great road trip topped off with a stop at the Maine lobster outlet. Huge live lobsters and made to order lobster rolls. Super nice staff and clean store. Great stuff.

I have gone by the Lobster Outlet many times and never noticed it. My wife noticed that they had lobsters for 2.99 perlb and make me stop. Well, we bought two 2 lb lobsters which were 14.00each and more than two lbs. They cooked them for us for the additional price of 1.00 each. When we got them home they... More

This isn't really a restaurant--it's a place to stop and buy fresh seafood, frozen seafood from Maine, and freshly made excellent things to take out and eat, including a lobster roll they will make for you that is full of the freshest lobster you can find, just a dab of mayo, all on a traditional roll. I've had the lobster roll... More
