We enjoyed our dinner of salads, haddock and seafood pasta on the evening of September22, 2014. Service was very good and the food was excellent.

Wonderful views and ambiance with high tide at time of visit. Wonderful, accommodating wait staff. Food was ok. Not much creativity.

Just finished supper. Good not great. Oysters were tasty but had to request lemon to which staff were surprised. Steamer clams were wonderful. Seafood casserole was poor. No flavour, scallops over cooked and rice had no taste. Thanked waiter four times and have yet to get any acknowledgement as in "your welcome".

Went here because I had a groupon. I got the clam chowder and my boyfriend got the stew. Both were alright- nothing great. We got the kettle chips as an app with shrimp on top, again they were just okay. All the shrimp was on one side and there were far too many chips for an app and it was... More

We almost always look for "local" places to eat. You can find chain stores where you live...We don't want to partake of those on the road too. The Muddy Rudder was a nice choice for a couple of recommended restaurants. We were not disappointed. We had the mussels as an appetizer. They were served hot, correctly prepared and as described... My husband & I went there a few days ago. Husband ordered clam chowder (which never came) & seafood scampi, & I ordered barbecue shrimp. My shrimp were tasteless & chewy & the barbecue sauce tasted like that out of a store bought jar. Husband's salad was good, but his seafood scampi was not hot, the scallops were good, but... More

We began and ended our seafood meals in Maine at the Muddy Rudder, Yarmouth. The Calamari Platter and the Baked Haddock are outstanding. Ask for a table with a water view to watch the birds and other wildlife while you dine.

My friend and I went here a year ago and the meal was outstanding. We were so excited to go back this year. We both ordered the lobster dinner. The lobster was over cooked tasteless. It is sad when the appetizer of kettle chips was better than the meal. The service was great as expected. I will say for the... More

Our meal was fabulous. Server was great and attentive. We didn't feel as though we waited long, but the manager stopped by to offer us a comp glass of wine for the wait (!) with an apology....wow! I did have to send my salmon back to be cooked a little more (I hate having to do that and it rarely... More
