My wife and I left OOB, heading north on Route 1. There wasn't much for non-fast food until we came upon this place. We got to sit on their back deck, which had a great water view from one side, and staring at the highway from the other. So my wife and I sat next to eachother looking at the... More

We were looking for lobster rolls. We found lobster rolls - so-so - nothing to write home about. I ordered fish and chips. What a mistake - chips were ok but fish was terrible. Normally the fish is crispy and good but this fish was baked, minimal, if any, breading and blah! No flavor at all. Then when looking around... More

How often do you run into a waitress who just doesn't care? Ordered drinks & asked what the special was. Probably asked too much- somewhat disdainful answer was it wasn't written up yet would have to wait until 5pm. Hey, maybe at 4:45pm they still didn't know- could have found out by going to the kitchen and asking, but... Have... More

This restaurant has beautiful views of the adjacent estuary and is a family friendly environment. The food is okay to good, depending on what one orders. Service is professionally polite but slow.

I really wanted to like this place. We were staying at the hotel and the top of the hill. Had just driven in from Acadia in torrential rain and didn't want to venture out again so we were going to order pizza delivery to the room. However, restaurant menu was in our room and looked promising, especially after six days... More

After years of driving by on our way to and from camp we finally stopped for an early dinner. I expected a rustic waterfront seafood restaurant typical of Maine. Never did I expect the lovely atmosphere I discovered. The restaurant is so so pretty with it's green walls and furnishings and white accents creating a calm, relaxing atmosphere. I ordered... More

If we tipped based on the quality of the food our waitress would have been very sad. Worst was the lobster bisque which bore more a resemblance to the glop they pour on tortilla chips at movie chains and call nachos than anything else. Flavorless and gloppy with bits of lobster is not what lobster bisque is. That's what we... More

A surprise (70th) birthday party for a very good friend of ours was our reason for flying into Maine for this very special week-end celabration. The reservation was at 6:pm on a Saturday evening for (12) family and close friends. Kept small as birthday boy does not like the public attention and likes to be private!! Well, that did not... We had dinner which is very overpriced for the quality of food. Fried clam plate was served with to many fries and cold. The clams were a little over cooked. The coleslaw was warm. My husband had the prime rib special which was lukewarm. The waiter was very nice but not very friendly .I got the impression it was just... More

Terrific birthday celebration for my Uncle: 95 years young. Muddy Rudder set us up with a private room for approx. 25 overlooking the water with wonderful views. We hung out for about 4 hours with plenty of room, lots of drinks, and friendly service. Lunch was from a prepared limited menu, but quite diverse. I had the steak tips --... More
