While driving up rt1 on our way to Freeport we stumbled upon this gem. Talk about great lobster rolls...and the view to enjoy them with! If we are ever in the area again, we'd be back!

I usually get the lobster roll, but decided on a crab roll instead. It was very good. This is a basic take-out stand with picnic tables and an outside toilet, so manage your expectations accordingly, but the food is good, and eating outside on a nice summer day just can't be beat.

We had taken live lobsters to-go from this place before and were pleased. This time we went to the cooked food window and were disappointed with the fish and crab sandwiches. The portions were small and were served lukewarm. The table tops of the picnic tables were nasty. We asked to the staff to come out and clean them--no response.... More

Today my husband and I picked up a pint of fried scallops and two clam rolls to go. We thought the half-pint dish looked small, but it turns out it would have been plenty since we were also getting our first clam-fix of the season. Left-over scallops is a problem I can deal with, so no worries there. This was... More

On the way to Freeport this is a really good stop for a quick bite. We had fish and chips with whole belly clams, hand, fresh seafood, good view and great clams! Outside seating is convenient for nice weather and umbrellas for the picnic tables allow for shade. We have bought lobsters to go from here and always priced right.

Perhaps my taste has evolved above window-ordering fried food and eating by the side of a busy highway road but I do not see how Days has rated so well with travelers on this site. We look for gems in the rough and diamonds in the making when it comes to dining out. We actually prefer the places that are... More

This is the iconic Maine roadside restaurant. If you want to take your (cooked) meal home, simply go, pick out your lobsters and they will prepare them to be ready when you are. There is a wide-variety of seafood from which to choose! All yummy

This was just what we wanted: roadside, marshside, funky and no frills. Just fantastic food at outside picnic benches. Lobstah rolls, pickles, beer/lemonade, friendly staff, and crusty guys in pickup trucks for company. We were early in the season, and we can only imagine this place is crazy busy in the summer, but for us it was a perfect snapshot... More

We were visiting family in the area and stopped here for an early dinner. The staff was friendly and cheerfully explained menus options - and I was surprised how fast the order was ready! There was just one other family here with us at 5 PM on a Wednesday. We ordered clam chowder, a half pint of shrimp, and fried... More

Day's is in a very convenient location - just down from the DeLorme Map Store - a must see, by the way & it's free, too! Nice seating outside and is also a great place to get your lobsters, lobster meat or crab meat, to go. Day's has really good side items, biscuits, and desserts. Their chowder was fabulous too!...
