We chose this restaurant because it seemed like a popular local place to go. It was a mistake. Both our plates went back barely touched. The waitress did not question why we did not eat the food, but was quick to bring us the bill. We paid the bill for barely edible food.

My first time visiting and I loved it. The meal was great and our waitress was the best ever. Her name is Kimberly and you should ask for her, as she made the experience a fun and relaxing one. Looking forward to visit again.

We were staying in Bath, ME and made a wrong turn over the bridge. We stumbled upon A Taste of Maine and my husband decided to check it out. There is a huge flagpole in the lot that has an osprey nest on top. Children can view the nest from a camerea inside the restaurant. There is inside and outside... More

We stopped here without any research because it was pouring out. It's a huge place and seemed like it would be a tourist trap but we were pleasantly surprised. Service was good and the fried clams and fish were excellent. Would be nice if the weather was good!

Really good service and really large portions. We had the crab cake sandwich and it was huge. It came with fries. The food was good and the setting is really nice. It's sort of a quirky place. We enjoyed it.

We've dined at Taste of Maine twice this summer -- once a weeknight and again early on a Sunday evening recently. The crowd was thin during the week, and since we live not too far from Taste of Maine and frequently pass it, that seems to be the pattern. We arrived shortly after 5 on Sunday and the place was... Great deck and lobster rolls. The service was wonderful the lemonade to die for. Really full menu and good beer selection. They even have a 7-lb one-plate seafood meal someone ordered - the taste of Maine challenge! They sell souvenirs as well and the decor included old gas station memorabilia and old kitchen items. A highlight was the monitor in... More

If your on Route 1 in Woolwich and your real hungry it's worth a try and I hope you get lucky. We had a big family group and they would not accommodate us by putting tables together. I shared a stuffed baked soft shell lobster overstuffed with their stuffing and one claw barely had any meat in it. One of... More

We were travelling from Massachusetts to Maine and the hunger bug hit us as we passed through Woolwich. There weren't really many places to choose from along the highway and we happened upon Taste of Maine. Weren't sure what to expect but really wanted to eat. We were pleasantly surprised. The place has a nice ambiance, and from the road... More
