Sometimes overlooked for no good reason

We have eaten here several times and have always been happy. They have a great haddock stew and calzone's but their lobster roll rivals if not surpasses the more popular RedEat's directly across the street. The food here is a little heavy but the prices are decent. The soup buffet is worth it for the many different homemade breads you get with it! The desserts are huge and tasty. There's a nice view of the water from inside or outside seating.

Sarah's is our go-to place in Wiscassett for any meal. A great well-rounded menu, the pizzas are the tastiest item on the menu. They make their own bread, but nothing beats the pizza bread!

Poorly considered interior with hard, cramped booths and chairs make a dining experience here noisy, uncomfortable and stressful. The food seems thrown together and the serve-yourself soup area only adds to the general chaotic feeling of the place. If you enjoy paying to be jostled, ignored, spilled on and rushed, this is your place!

We've been stopping in at Sarah's on and off through the years. I happened to go there twice this summer. Both times, during the weekday, for an early dinner (about 5pm), the service was extremely slow. At one point, our server came over and apologized for the long delay and invited us to help ourselves to the soup and salad... More

Oh my! The desserts and Sarah's were outstanding! We tried the chocolate cake w/ buttercream icing, blueberry cake with icing and a whoopie pie at our table of 4 and left with half still in boxes to finish the next day. The soup & bread bar was excellent, particularly the chili. Great meal with a great view of the water.... More

We stopped in Wiscasset for lunch. We had been to Sarah's before and remembered it was good. My family had calzone-type lunches with french fries on the side. They were huge and filling. I went for a small salad which was fulfilling and had a variety of vegetables in it. I wanted to save room for dessert and was not... More

We decided on Sarah's because of a cold and rainy day and line at Red's, and we were pleased. Lobster roll was very good, with a much better bun that you will find at most places. Fish chowder was good, but not exceptional, but the bread choices were nice, especially the toasted garlic slices.

We decided to try Sarah's instead of standing in line at Red's with no place to sit once we finally got our food. It was definitely the right choice. The lobster was great and the service was excellent. Our server gave us a free dessert since it took a while to get our food. (She had dropped a plate so... More

Food was good and reasonably priced. The Cheese Matey was especially good for our 4 year old grandson. Papaw like it too!
