Great value - soup buffet

We had a quick stop here on the way north - both chose the soup buffet and we enjoyed the cod chowder (needed salt) The bread selection was interesting and as a Dane I was surprised to find brunsviger (Bread with brown sugar and cinnamon) Mmmmm

I came for lunch with some family members, including 3 children. The kids were happy because they could order off a children's menu that they could also flip over and use crayons to color. I ordered the loaded steak sub. It comes with a bag of chips and fresh- crisp homemade pickles. I substituted fries instead of the chips, but... More

I am sorry but my expectations were higher than what was served to me and my family. Mash potatoes and the haddock chowder were without any taste. My daughter ordered quesadilla with cheese and chicken. Unfortunately the waitress did not write her order correctly so my daughter got only cheese and no chicken in her quesadilla. When we mentioned that... More

Stopped by on our way through for lunch and ordered the fish stew. It consists of mussel, haddock, shrimp, veggies. The meal was terrible, 4 out of 6 mussels were not open and had to be returned for some that were edible. The wine broth was nothing but juice from cooking the mussels. We were not concerned about the price... More

We used to frequent Sarah's Cafe years ago on return road trips for a quick bowl of fortifying soup. It did not disappoint then or today when we found ourselves looking for an Easter dinner on our way home from Logan. Fresh food, generous portions, reasonable prices and delicious homemade desserts. We will return!

We went specifically for their calzones. I wasn't disappointed. We were seated by the window with a nice view of the water. The service was quick. We ordered a pepperoni calzone. It was hot, cheesy and delicious - everything that a calzone should be. They serve it with the sauce on the side. There is also a nice bread bar... More

Love stopping by this restaurant whenever I am in the Wiscasset, Maine area. The food is great. We ordered fish sandwiches and beers for lunch and then pizza to take back for dinner. The waitresses are locals who know the area and are very friendly and helpful. There is also a small bar inside the establishment and they have a... More

We look for different ways of having lobster when in this area. They had lobster pizza. My wife who cannot get enough lobster wished it contained more, but I was content with the quantity.

Highlights: We were happy to discover that Sarah's is open in the off-season. They are situated right by the bridge in Wiscasset and have tables with a nice view. The service was very friendly, and this is comfortable place for families to go to eat. They offer a simple kids' menu which is nice. On the downside, the food is... More

We had noticed Sarah's when we passed through on our way to Boothbay Harbor in past summers. On this trip to the area in winter we decided to give it a try. We all had the Haddock chowder and it was great. My wife and I had the lobster rolls on whole wheat and felt they were the best we... More
