Driving to Maine, we passed this lobster shack in Wiscassett, but knew nothing about it. However, while in Rockland we heard enough to make it a point to stop there on the way home. The lobster roll was probably the best I've ever had. Nothing but lobster meat on the roll, and plenty of !! It was wrapped for the... More

I loved the lobster roll at Red's, but the lobster on the toasted roll is served refrigerator cold with melted butter on the side. The lobster is picked VERY clean and is delicious, but would have preferred it at least room temp. Also, they only accept CASH - no debit, no credit, no checks (not that anyone carries checks anymore... More

If you're headed north on Route 1, a stop at Red's Eats is a must. However, you should time your arrival so that you're not stopping during a typical lunch or dinner time. We went in an off time and only had a couple of other parties in line ahead of us. The lobster rolls are expensive (about $22 each... More

I stop by Red's every time I pass through Wiscasset, and always come away happy. I knew I was in for a long wait this time around (more than an hour), being it was lunchtime in mid-July. Somebody did come around with free samples and water while we waited, which was nice. The lobster rolls are huge, but they don't... More

be advised, this is a road side shack (20'x20') with only outside seating and the line for ordering is usually about an hour. if you plan your visit for late afternoon to evening, the wait is much shorter, 15 minutes on our last visit. Everything made here that I've tried is good from their specialty puff dogs to the lobster... More

Red''s is the "go-to" spot for a fabulous lobster roll (which is evidenced by the long line of customers no matter the time of day!) A gigantic amount of lobster meat in a toasted roll with mayo and melted butter on the side. Many napkins required.

I've been here twice before, but today (which was better than one earlier visit) means I won't be back. Unlike some reviewers my lobster roll was always great, but my bottom line impression is that the family who runs it is just too impressed with themselves ... they seem to think people should be grateful for the chance to eat... If you are a true connoisseur of lobster, this is the place to go. This is the true lobster roll with no "fluff", just great lobster. I have eaten lobster all my life and this is the place for the best lobster rolls .There is a reason this is the "Home of Maine's #1 Lobster Roll". It is well worth... More

My aunt and I passed Reds driving to Camden and knew it must be great bc the line was extremely long so we decided to go there the next day. We waited in line for an hour but for me was well worth the wait, I'd do it again & again. I ordered the lobster roll, crab cake & blueberry... More
