I had a lobster roll today and wow.....there had to be more than one lobster in that roll--there was so much lobster meat! It is a meal in itself. I also had the fried zucchini--yummy! Long line and wait for the food, but certainly a "Maine-worthy" experience!

Having this be my first lobster roll...ever, I may have been mistaken. I was 3rd in line at 11am (they opened at 11:30). I expected live lobster being cooked in the back and from there they made the roll. So why did a seafood truck pull up and unloaded numerous coolers of ice from which they pull huge pillow-sized bags... More

I met a senior couple on my plane into Portland and they recommended Reds Eats in Wiscasset, ME as their favorite for 18 seasons. I made this my first stop heading north and was shocked to see 40 people standing in line (in the rain) including my senior couple in front of a small shed-like establishment located waterside near a... Went to Red's three times in a week... It's about $18 for one lobster roll, but totally worth it. Since that place is famous for their lobster rolls, you might have to wait a long time to place your order.

Maine's #1 Lobster Roll did not disappoint. A bit pricy, but a great little place. Right on the bay and within walking distance of our favorite B&B Newkirk Inn. Would go again.

The fantastic food at Red's is hard to enjoy due to the number of people waiting to get food and then the hassle of finding a table to in order to eat it and again the press of so many people in such a small space. Go and try the food, pick a time of the year when you'll stand... More

We were fortunate to only have a half dozen folks ahead of us and all of the orders looked large, fresh and cooked just right. Of course, we had the lobster roll and fries which were very good with plenty of fresh lobster. It is an experience you will remember unless you had to wait an hour and I would... More

Wiscasset is no longer "The prettiest little village in Maine"; it's now the largest summer bottleneck in Maine. Do you really want to get caught in traffic for 20-30 minutes longer just to have a lobster roll that you can get many, many other places in Maine? Make sure to do a large detour around this bottleneck and find your... More

Prepare To wait in line - we waited 1 hour and twenty minutes (on a Sunday). They open at 11:30, we got in line at noon and were the 66 th order of the day. But with that said it was definitely an experience and the owners have things down to a science. As we waited in line a very... More
