BIG Lobster Roll out of this World

Often when make a long drive to find special food you are less than happy, but no matter how far out of the way Reds might have been it is worth it! The prices are a bit high but the food is to die for. Best lobster roll I ever had. Crab cakes excellent and even my grand son raved... read more

Yum, but wish my lobster roll was hot instead of cold. It's definitely the meatiest in Maine though and I thought the area was nice where Red's is located. Prepare for a long line and only a port-a-john for a restroom but from other reviews that is to be expected with such a small food service location. I wish there... More

This is a great place, no doubt about it. It's in a stand/shack, so there's no indoors whatsoever, but on a warm day, you can sit in the back at the tables. Whoever said the lines move fast at Red's Eats has probably not been there a lot. Stay away from the long lines in the late spring and summer... More

There is always a line, that should tell you something, but it moves quickly. The lobster rolls are huge and packed with lobster. It was a great place to stop for lunch.

we HAD to eat here. it was a destination we preplanned as it has amazing reviews. the line is long, but they are fast moving. my food was pretty good, but certainly not the best ive ever had, my friend has the lobster roll and disliked it so much she gave it to me to eat. the lobster is cold... I usually am disappointed by over-hyped, crowded "best"' places that let their guard down and quality slip because of all the crowds showing up. Not here; it's really the best lobster I've ever had, anywhere before or since. There's a line in high season, no matter the weather. People wait patiently; the service is quick, efficient and still friendly given... More

Saw this place on tv several times, and it is better than even they proclaimed!! I would not wait an hour, but if there isn't much of a line: it's the best Lobster rolls we had on our entire Maine trip!!!! We did have a lot of lobster rolls on the trip, but did these are the best that I've... More

We couldn’t come to Maine and not visit Red’s Eats. We’ve heard about it for years and seen it mentioned on programs about lobster in Maine. We certainly were not disappointed but we personally don’t think this is the only excellent lobster roll in the state of Maine. We were there in off season (pre-Memorial Day) and there were still... Seeing all the positive comments about the lobster rolls makes me wish I had tried that instead of Fried Clams !! My wife enjoyed her clams but I felt they were too strong and fishy for my taste. Also with the additions we had such as coleslaw, bit of cake and sodas the bill came to over $50 !! The... More

I'm so sad I'm gluten free now. I will miss you forever Red's, but don't think I'm not gonna try to bring my own rolls.
