Homemade breads, homemade corned beef hash, large portions! Breakfast special with meat and coffee for $7! Yikes! I guess if I rated it against the Ritz I could pick it apart. But, it is an old roadside diner just off rte 1 recently taken over by new owners. There are no tablecloths, pepper grinders, or crystal. Yes, you get one... More

Typical of the area in friendly, breakfast-lunch diners. Everything about it is just OK. Can be crowded, and they are always understaffed. The wait for nothing special makes it not #1.

We heard that this place was under new management, so we decided to try it again. What a disaster. I ordered a toasted English Muffin, bacon and eggs over medium to hard. The plate arrived. I immediately sent the English Muffin back to be toasted (it was warm, but no signs of toast). I then noticed the eggs that resembled... More

I ate breakfast here last July based on reviews here on this site. Working in the area and had an awesome meal. So I was excited to stop today and have my family try it out. They say you can't go back, and this was a case of I shouldn't have gone back. They were not busy, but the server... More

I a fan of diners. I liked this one. Good omelette with LOTS of cheese. Like lots. This is not a bad thing. And toast made from fresh baked white bread. Yummy. Very useful for wiping up the leftover cheese from the omelette. Very good coffee too. Took some to go. Service was good and the place seemed popular. The... More

I was not impressed with the food. I ordered a grilled chicken sandwich and it was tasty but the bread was not toasted and very soggy. My boyfriend ordered a steak bomb and said it was the worst he has ever had. The bottom of it ripped and was soggy so he had to cut it in half. My 4... More

Finally stopped for breakfast after years of driving by. Excellent home made corned beef hash and very reasonable prices.

We are having lunch now at Miss Wiscasset Diner. The restaurant is wonderful and upbeat. I ordered the haddock sandwich basket and it is great. I didn't bother with the bun as the piece of haddock is huge. Very flavorful, fresh and with a wonderful batter. My husband has one of the burgers and he is very pleased. For those... More

I was pretty upset to read the last couple of reviews. We own a summer home in Edgecomb and come up here several times during the summer. Wiscasset Diner has now become a favorite place of ours. The wait staff has been amazing. They have always been very friendly and great to our kids. When I read that the wait... More
