My husband and I did a road trip up the East Coast. We're from the Mid West and our goal was to eat as much fresh seafood as possible. As we were heading to Booth Bay Harbor we found this roadside GEM!! Adorable little dock on the side of the road and side of the Bay. We got one lobster... More

The lines across the street are ridiculous. Sprague should have lines. It's that good! We split large fries. We each had lobster rolls and drinks. Excellent. They take cash or checks only. Park right in their lot. Have to eat outside.

Stopped for lunch today with my husband. We had the best lobster roll. Have been to reds across the street and saw the line. This place is just as good if not better. Pure deliciousness in a roll. Close to two lobsters in each. Saved ourselves an hour wait.

You want a great lobster roll and don't want to stand in line, then come to Sprague's. No big wait, but a big great lobster roll. Right at the bridge...so coming and hoping to Booth Bay Harbor, this is the place to go.

Across the street, you can wait for 60-90 minutes to pick up your lobster roll, etc. You can avoid the wait and get a huge lobster roll (more than a whole lobster) and clam chowder with the tenderest clams you've ever tasted by avoiding the lemmings and instead going to this charming lobster shack. It's on a pier with 12-15... More

I preface this review with the following experience. While taking a picture of the long line at Red's Eats at around 2PM on a weekday, a local gentleman asked me "Would you wait an hour for a hamburger at home?". With that, we entered the line and waited about 5 minutes, then took the man's advice and headed across the... More

This is a roadside shack on a large deck between the river and the railroad tracks (http://www.maineeasternrailroad.com), also across the street from Red's and takes cash only (and checks? why?). There is an ATM RIGHT in front of Red's, so I had to run up the street a 1/2 block to get cash. (Tip to owner of Sprague's, don't make... More

Same overstuffed lobster rolls as Reds but no long lines. There are tables with umbrellas where you can sit with a nice view of the water and enjoy boiled lobsters or lobster rolls. There are also a few shops near the place selling things made in Maine. Parking is available and it's a nice place to have lunch.

BOTH PLACES TAKE ONLY CASH AND THE CLOSEST CASH MACHINE WAS OUT OF SERVICE- don't take any chances! Estimate $16-18 per lobster rolls plus drinks and sides for either and stop on your way up or home depending which direction you are moving! Neither Red's nor Sprague's is what I would consider a 'restaurant' They are both take away joints... More

If you're looking for lobster in the rough in Wiscasett, Maine you can't get it at Red's Eats. Red's has a long line and famous lobster rolls but Sprague's across the street has boiled lobster like its meant to be - cooked in salt water, served with drawn butter, a view and you can BYOB which was nice. The lobster... More
