Best lobster roll

we ate a bunch in our 5 days in Maine and this was the best we ate. And no line! This is a no brainier stop on your way down the coast.

TIP: sit, relax and enjoy a great lobster roll with yummy fries. The lobster roll with fries is delicious and I did not have to wait in line for 30 minutes or eat standing up...plenty of places to sit.

We stopped at Sprague's for lunch today and three of us had their famous lobster rolls, which are filled with the meat of an entire lobster. They don't use mayo on them, but the lobster is cooked in sea water, which in my opinion, is the best way. The lobster is put into a delicately toasted split roll--delicious! We were... More

We were waiting in the hour plus line at Reds when we read the great reviews for Spragues. We crossed the street, had the best Lobster Roll we've ever had, plus we got to sit right on the beautiful deck overlooking the harbor-and no long lines. Ask for the melted butter with your Lobster Roll, pour it on and enjoy.... More

We LOVED the sandwiches we got....one lobster and one local crab. Wish that there was a bit more offerings....kinda expensive for just those items.

I stopped here on my way home from Damariscotta. They packed up four lobsters for me to take home, and I ordered a lobster roll to-go. The lobster roll was stuffed with big chunks of fresh lobster. We also enjoyed the boiled lobsters for dinner. This is your typical, casual Maine lobster "shack," which is what I love. You should... More

We just returned from a lovely stay in Wiscasset . Sprague's was not originally on our list of " must eats " . We had planned to go to Red's which is where " tourists " seem to go . The long line ups, the waits seemed to be an incentive for people to have it , but we figured... More

We stopped at Sprague's for dinner and really enjoyed the food. We had lobster rolls, fish baskets, and burgers. The owner was very friendly and visited about the area. The seating was wonderful right on the river. The seafood was fresh and made to order right in front of us!

Had lunch there instead of the 'other place' across the street. Got our monies worth and no waiting in line (probably because we got there early before others arrived). The lobster roll was packed with full pieces of meat and the clam chowder was delicious. Has tables overlooking the river. Will definitely go back!

This place get's a little lost because it is across the street from the famous Red's Eats, where the line is always really long. The line at Sprague's was less than half as long, so we tried it. It was great. We had lobster rolls. They were beautifully prepared and generous with the lobster. It is in a beautiful location,... More
