We discovered this restaurant 5 years ago on our first visit to the area, and have never been disappointed. Along with perfectly cooked and seasoned entrees, they have THE most exquisite homemade sauces we have ever tasted. The divine foccacia with the freshly created at your table dipping oil is a perfect beginning. While I am not one to eat... More

Great lobster rolls, fried haddock sandwiches, and chowders. Fancier food and bigger entrees also available. The best blueberry cobbler -- when they have it.

If there's a better restaurant in Maine it would surprise me. WINTER HARBOR is Maine without hordes of tourists. Fisherman's Inn is what you hope you can find on vacation but seldom do. Best service ever....waitress was just fantastic. Started with fresh baked bread and dip which she made, oil & cheese & herbs. Then steamed 1 1/2 lb lobster... More

Clam chowder was outstanding; special item pumpkin bisque was thin with little flavor; spinach salad had no cheese on it; tossed salad had one small slice of tomato; seafood casserole was small (6 small items) and soaked in butter; Thai salmon seemed like it might have been frozen but not sure; cole slaw was average with extra mayo.; vegetable medley... Really good food with a nice variety on the menu. My mother-in-law's favorite restaurant in this area of Maine. Also an excellent lunch stop. They have a food cart that they pull out to the roadside for lunches until about 3pm. The best lobster rolls I've ever had are there. There isn't fancy sauces on them; just knowing how to... More

This is the nicest restaurant for many miles, if you are looking for "nice". There are other more rustic or native places to eat well, but the Fisherman is nice. We have found the food to be consistent over the last several years with a few dishes that are really very good, above average. My wife had the tenderloin tips........really... More

Food was at best average- rubbery lobster, overdone burgers, heavily battered fried clams. Despite spending a week in the area, did not return.

My wife and I had our second dinner at the Fisherman's Inn Restaurant. It was as notably excellent for both service (our server was again, coincidentally, Allison) and cuisine as our first visit. We had the eggplant florentine preceded by salads and following by a mouth-watering blueberry pie. We would recommend Fisherman's Inn Restaurant to anyone and find it comparable... More

We were pleasantly surprised by Fisherman's Inn, which looks plain on the outside. But inside was a lovely restaurant with large windows and tasteful sailing decorations. Get a reservation to get a good seat- it was almost full on the Sunday night in August that we were there. When we arrived the hostess at first took us to the back... More

There are few dining options on the Schoodic Peninsula so inevitably we made our way to Fisherman's Inn. The wait staff were very nice; generally young people from the area. The hostess on the other hand, who might be the owner, was not as welcoming. We asked to switch our seating assignment from a booth to a table with chairs... More
