I remember when Thatchers was in the Windham Mall, the bar was excellent and food was good. It has since moved into a stand alone restaurant and the bar was small. I was disappointed because I recommended we go there for my girlfriends birthday and it seems that everything we asked for they did not have or serve. So we... More

Enjoy the home cooked pot roasts, stews, and comfort food! The mixed drinks rock, too. The acoustics are a bit harsh as there are cathedral ceilings and hard wood floors don't absorb any sound.

We flew into Portland, Maine and started our trip to New Hampshire. Since it was around noon, we decided to stop for lunch. Clam chowder, had to have clam chowder. Saw Thatchers Restaurant and stopped. Glad we did, the bowl of clam chowder was great. They have a Senior Menu with a number of choices, they also have a good... More

We went on Halloween evening, as we were out of town and tired of chain restaurants. Some of the staff were in costume, including our wait staffer. I ordered "queen size" prime rib, which, for me, is a treat I seldom have. My companion ordered beef scampi. My beef was suitably rare, and the baked potato skins crisp, which is... More

The prices for seafood at Thatcher's are lower than other area places. Good size portions and specials that rotate and show a little flair beyond the menu. This is a place you could take the family, go to the bar by yourself or take your partner out for a lunch or dinner that won't break the bank. Ask for the... More

I had heard good things about this place, but I just wasn't impressed. Service wasn't great, food was below average, not very hot or tasty. Prices were high, no atmosphere. I wouldn't return.

We were on our way back home from Sebago Lake on 302 and were hungry so we decided to give Thatcher’s a try. I had the baked haddock with corn, rice pilaf and a garden salad, my wife had the chicken Cascadia and our son had the hot dog with fries. The waitress was very attentive and had a great... More

We go to this restaurant at least once every few months and I always get the baked haddock. It's fresh and cooked with a light crumb topping. Delicious. Their salads are also good as well as some terrific desserts.

I actually can't review the food at this restaurant because when we walked through the door, we were assaulted by an odor so foul, that it belonged at the bottom of a swamp. The carpet was filthy and I can't emphasize enough how badly it smelled. We turned around and left; it was so bad, I nearly retched in the... More

I have been in the restaurant business for years, and I find that the worst thing in a dining experience is when the server cannot read their customers, e, I , over serving!,,,, , My husband ordered a grand gold marg. $8.50definitly NOT grand gold. We ordered an appetizer that was so... hot (not a bad thing), however our entree... More
