Good quality ice cream is a must after a big lunch. Many flavors to choose from. The produce cheese also.

We stopped by on a road trip. We ordered a turkey sandwich and home made mac and cheese. both were just average. The ice cream was really good. I think people love the atmosphere here not necessarily the food. I would come back to see the farm in the spring/summer but we probably wouldnt eat lunch here again.

Made a quick stop here for lunch on our way North to go apple picking. The milk and lemonade that is made here is delicious!! We also had phenomenal tuna melt sandwiches that truly hit the stop and were very filling. So glad we stopped here!

Smiling Hill farm is a lot of fun. Go check out all the animals, go to the petting areas and interact with the animals. It's only $4 per person, and totally worth it. It's a lot of fun, especially if you have kids with you (but its fun even if you don't have any kids). The petting area allows you... More

The ice cream at Smiling Hill is the best in Maine and probably the best I've ever had. It is homade with the milk from their cows (which you can visit :) there ice cream is so creamy and the portions are very generous. Unique and traditional flavors. I look forward to it every year!!

The small farm in the back is a great place if you have small children. They have goats, sheep, chickens, bunnies and several other small animals. They also have designated areas where you can feed the animals. The food/icecream in the store were great. Overall, it's a good place to visit if you happen to be in the area.

My son invited me to spend the afternoon here with his son, so I guess you could say that we had a 3 generation activity, and each of us had fun in our own way. Of course, for Daddy and Grammy the fun was all about watching the toddler interact with the animals. The admission price is $3 per person... More

Our family stopped here on our way further north. It was a convenient stop off the highway and offered a great chance for our 5 year old to run and stretch his legs. The Barnyard was reasonably priced at $3 per person, but the tokens to feed the animals were a pricey 50 cents each and only bought a very... More
