What is a gastro pub?” Gastronomy is the study of preparing and consuming food. A pub is a neighborhood spot for affordable food and good times. When you combine the two you get a neighborhood spot with a focus on food prepared from scratch with fresh ingredients.

Great food

This place is a little hard to find but well worth the effort . It's a pub type atmosphere and the food was delicious. We plan to go there again soon.

Had never been to this restaurant before, but met friends there for dinner. My friends had been coming there a lot, and loved it. The service was great, found the prices expensive, but if food was great then price would be ok. I ordered the chicken kabob, was very surprised at the portion size when it came out. When it... What a gem. We asked for a recommendation from the folks at Allagash and it was great. I have chicken crepes that made me fell like I was back home in Phila. People near us had the "kitchen" burger which is the Chef selection of .... huge and overflowing that night with beef, sausage and who knows what else.(I did... More

First it was *great* not to be squished at a small table. The farmhouse style table was generously sized and we didn't have to do the plate shuffle to fit items ordered by our party of 5. Second we had a friendly server. Makes a lot of difference. Third food reactions were mixed. The salmon was deemed excellent as was... More

Based on other reviews and trying to get reservations late on a Friday night we tried the frog and turtle. The staff was exceptional. They menu states that most meals take 30 minutes to prepare so get a drink and get comfortable. The chicken crepe with brie was good and not too rich. Portions were generous. My husband got the... First, the waitstaff was great in our minds. Very attentive to our needs, keeping our glasses filled, always offering if they could do anything more for us. They were great. Unfortunately, our food was not on par. I ordered the Fish & Chips, asking for onion rings instead--they looked so delicious and it seemed like every table had them. The... More

Have eaten there quite a few times. Food is usually very good, but there always seems to be something with the service. My wife ordered lobster salad she said was excellent. I ordered a lobster dinner including new potatoes, mussels and corn. Everything tasted very good, but there was no bowl to put shells . There were two bowls of... More

What a great birthday brunch my family and I had here! What made it so much fun was Randa, our waitress. She had the best professional service, but also a great sense of humor, and pulled off the surprise doughnuts decorated with candles while the whole staff sang Happy Birthday seamlessly! Actually, it was a plan that my daughter came... More

We've been to this restaurant several times, both for dinner and for Sunday brunch. The staff lets you know upfront that all meals are made from scratch and therefore to sit back, relax, and allow some time. Once the food arrives, it is well worth the wait. Whether pub food, an entree, or brunch, all is exquisite and served in... More
