Been many times in many years to the back bar, where the view of the marsh is fabulous. Happy hour is great. We love seafood - New England or near Hilton Head. The fried clams were small. We don't know if we got clams or clam strips. The steamers were very good. The mozzarella sticks were fine. The chowder is... More

I group of four of us went to BCH. One ordered the fish and chips, another fish tacos, another a burger, another a bowl of chowder. The chowder was ok, but nothing to rave about. The entrees were decent enough as well.

We were looking for a late lunch and to watch the game, Billy's gave us both. This fairly large place is in a beautiful spot. We got right in with out a wait, the server was friendly. Even though they promoted "our beer" the first two I asked for from the menu were not available. I ordered the fish tacos... More

We liked the food and our waiter was great, very attentive. We were seated by the window overlooking the water and we were able to enjoy lobster boats coming in and out, a great Maine experience. A very nice lunch experience!

Terrific meal - wonderful service - great location - a definite MUST if you are in this area! Great options on the menu - staff very friendly and helpful. Might want to call ahead to see if a reservation is needed. Bring a sweater if it's summer as the air cond. might be on and it could be cool depending... More

Cup of clam chowder was ok. Lots of potatoes. The $15 bowl of seafood chowder was overpriced and disappointing. Service was good. 1 lb. Steamed lobster was good and the salt covered baked potato with sour cream and butter was very good. Opted for the cole slaw as the veggie option was frozen veggies.

We read a review of this restaurant in Fodor's travel book and we're so glad we decided to try Billy's. The chowder was excellent and the lobster was the best I have had on this trip to Maine. We sat in the bar area which looks out over the water. The service was excellent!

As always, our reviews are solely based on our personal tastes & experiences; never intended to persuade/dissuade anyone from patronizing a business. Stopped during a recent vacation, first time and were not disappointed. Living in the NE for most of our lives, we always enjoy returning for the great seafood. Happened upon Billy's on the causeway to Wells Beach; if... More
