We arrived at almost 9 for dinner traveling with children and there was a 20 min wait, we reviewed the menu while waiting and were able to order right when we sat down and it came super fast and everything was good, and it arrived very quickly. Service was good. Not amazing, but all bases covered and we were grateful... More

Stopped by on our way home from a Boothbay Harbor getaway. Seated by the marsh water view. Jessica was our waitress and was very attentive. My husband order clam chowder, was terrific, made the proper "New England style", with a milky not thick broth. Loaded with clams. Next he ordered oysters which are $1 a piece on Wednesdays and were... More

Whenever I go by, there are tons of cars and people, so I must be the only one not excited about this place. Expect a long wait as there are tons of people. My meal of shrimp scampi was fair, and have no interest of ever going back.

Got to Wells around 8:00PM, checked into Hampton Inn and immediately set off for Billy's less than a mile away. This is my "go to" restaurant in the area although there are many other good choices. A bowl of lobster stew and order of steamers are just the ticket!! Sat at the bar with a combo of friendly locals and... More

The Mac N Lobster is worth the trip!!! Lots of lobster - very tasty. Be warned that the chowde is not thick, as you might expect, but the flavor is full on.

We went to the chowderhouse for a seafood dinner and in the past the portions were much larger. The food was delicious but a bit overpriced as were the drinks. We love the marsh views and love the fried clams and chowder.

I was looking forward to our first seafood dinner of the weekend. We were 2 couples. Waited 1/2 hour to be seated. Fried seafood was moist and tasty and decent sized portion. My small portion of baked scallops was dried out and luke warm, it was overpriced and disappointing. A second baked mixed seafood plate was also luke warm with... More

Excellent raw oysters (still need to go on a Wednesday for the $1.00 per oyster special), good lunch/dinner menu with the expected items, nice view of the saltmarsh, very good spinach salad, and an excellent server behind the bar. Thanks for the efficient and friendly service, Stephanie!

On day one of our trip, we ate dinner at Forbes for about $50. The fried seafood dinner, lobster roll and clam chowder were delicious. The chowder was very yummy, but can be considered out-of-this world compared to the water-cream broth served with a sprinkling of clam and excess of potato cubes masquerading as clam chowder at Billy's. My wife... More

Food was great starting with the clam chowder then with the fish tacos. Friendly service at the bar as well! Thanks to Jenn and Nikki!
