I've eaten at Billy's at least a dozen times over the last 20 years and have always enjoyed myself. However on my most recent visit I was stunned to notice a noticeable price increase and a decrease in the quality of the food. The food used to be unbeatable; but frankly, now, for the price it's not worth it anymore.... More

My husband and I have just returned from a week at Well's Maine. We have vacationed there for a week every year but last year since we moved to Upstate NY last April (2013) and missed our trip to Wells and to Billy's. We love NY but you just cannot get good seafood here and believe me we have tried.... More

I must say that it's about time I found a restaurant that knows how to cook seafood as well as food in general. We had a party of 15 and the owner / manager was so accommodating for us. The food was fantastic. Clams, scallops, shrimp, haddock, all cooked to perfection like it should be. The kids dinners came out... More

I had the clam chowder which was very good, made traditionally without flour or cornstarch. Then I had the baked lobster which was also excellent. The only downside is that the lounge where we were sitting was very noisy. Probably just some New Yorkers...

Delicious dinner, but be prepared to spend some money. We ordered two lazy man's lobsters, two cups of chowder, two salads, and two beers...it cost over $100.

We read the online reviews and they were spot on. We had a wonderful lunch salad. Oysters and chowder. This was the best chowder in Maine and we tried chowder at 7 different Maine restaurants. This is a must stop location the service was excellent.

I like this restaurant when I'm staying at the Hampton Inn in Wells! They were the first to recommend Billy's. I had the lobster stew, some mussels and salmon. All of it was delicious! Two different areas for dining. One is near the bar area and has a view and the other is a quieter area near the front of... More

Ok, so we just purchased a place in Wells, Maine and this restaurant is easily one of our faves. We absolutely love the clam chowder, lobster rolls, lobster mac and cheese, rum drinks, fried clam strips, great fries and the waitresses are fast, good and can easily handle my fun loving hubby with a sense of humor, throwing the jokes...
