If you are a breakfast lover, this is the place for you. Menu has a good variety of choices, but be SURE to try their donuts. You can get a little bowl of donut holes in different flavors. Everything was excellent and good portion sizes. Raisin bread (toasted) was excellent.

We have been traveling to Wells, Maine for many(!) years and Congdon's is one of our "must do's" when there. The staff is always friendly and the take-out counter is always well-staffed. When you first enter, the line may seem intimidating, but because of the staffing levels the wait is short (for take out baked goods). It is not uncommon... More

These are the best doughnuts I have ever had! Fresh, large and absolutely delicious. The blueberry fritters are also amazing. I was in Wells for three days and headed for Congdon's on two of them. They also serve full breakfasts but, unfortunately, I didn't have time to try that menu. Next time! Both mornings there were lines but they moved... More

I'm not sure what happened, but this is no longer my go-to breakfast spot in Wells. The first time we went (maybe 5 or 6 years ago) the breakfasts were huge and reasonably priced and absolutely delicious. A couple of years ago the breakfast was good, prices were up and portions were down. Same thing again last year. This year... More

This is a place that has been here as long as I can remember. The food is very good with generous servings. The bakery is amazing.

The doughnuts and whoppie pies were excellent. The place was crowded but the help did a great job waiting on people in a timely friendly manner

Really fresh and excellent donuts, but prices are a little high. Great place to sit and eat quick, drive through offered, as well as a sit down diner for a larger menu. Pleasant surprise.

We eat breakfast at Congdons, when ever we are in Maine. Most likely the best on the coast and in Maine. The food is always served hot, and the staff is happy that youre there. They go the extra mile to insure that you have good food, and excellent service. If you want to sit outside at the picnic tables,... More

I have coming here for over 20 years and always loved it!! Today my family and I went for lunch. The service was fine besides the fact they stuck us at a table in a tight corner 2 ft from the coffe station and I also have to say the food was terrible today. The soups we had ordered came... More
