Worth the Wait!

We always go to Congdon's at least one day of our trip for breakfast. There are not too many parking spaces so you may have to wait for one. Additionally, it always has a bit of a line but it goes by quickly. Doughnuts are excellent and the sandwiches are very good too!

Excellent breakfast. They offer a choice of Hormels hash vs home made hash. No comparison, the homemade hash was awesome. They offer different breads, the multigrain is home made and delicious. Bottomless coffee and Carol, our waitress was always refilling the cup. Will definitely have breakfast there again!

I am a local and it's very difficult to share this gem of a restaurant with you, as I'd like to keep the secret all to myself. I've grown up on the Chocolate Creme doughnut, which is my all time favorite which trumps a hot and fresh Krispy Kreme... If you have a chance to swing in and check this... More

I first discovered Congdons 3 years ago when we bought a small summer place in Wells. So many of our neighbors told us we HAD to go to Congdons. Boy am I glad we did! They hands down have the best doughnuts in the world! On weekends in the summer the line can easily be out the door but the... More

I visited Congdon's with my granddaughter and as usual we had the best breakfast!! The food is the best for lunch or breakfast! The servers are helpful and friendly, especially "Kelly". The lemon bismarks are to die for!!!

We saw this on the visitors map, they serve doughnuts and full breakfast as well as lunch, open at 6am. Famous for the doughnuts, they are quite large, like the size of a salad plate! We were seated right off, arrives around 9:30, had the French toast and side of bacon. Great thick toast, thick and flavorful bacon. Our servers... More

Congdon's was all I could want or expect in a breakfast. I went there twice during my week's vacation to Maine. Both times I was greeted warmly and seated as requested (I travel with both a handicapped person and a small service dog, so a booth works best for us). The food was exactly what we ordered. I can't wait... More

Coffee/donuts or sit down eat-in. Way more than just donuts. A lot of choices. Good coffee, great service, beats the check out of DD any day, no comparison.

We've had breakfast twice at Congdon's Doughnuts in the last eight months, and both times the food has been excellent and service is well above average. However, as good as the food is the best thing about Congdon's Doughnuts is the doughnuts!!!! I bought a dozen to bring home and they didn't last long!! DDs could take some lessons from... More

I could have pancakes for breakfast while my husband had chowder and a sandwich for lunch. My pancakes were huge and I could only eat half the plate. My husband goggled up the clam chowder and the three cheese grilled cheese sandwich had lots of bacon and good tomato slices. Both meals were delicious and came out of the kitchen... More
