We live in Upstate New York, and vacation in Wells, Maine each summer. Congdon's has been there for many decades, and its easy to see why! The food is always fresh, and the staff is usually friendly and efficient (many of them are young adults that return each summer to work here under the tutoring of the year round waitresses).... more

My donut tasted like french fries..so I tried one of the others..that tasted like fried potatoes as well. My guess would be that they do not have a seperate fryer for just donuts..if that is so, they should consider it! more

Nobody makes better donuts...NOBODY. There are very few joys in life that rate up there with a warm Congdon's donut. They make them there, fresh everyday, and they are absolutely wonderful!!! more

I stopped by on a Tuesday morning around 11:30 and they were out of honey dipped, jelly and lots of other flavors. I asked for two of anything, just to try the donuts. Not sure what they gave me but the donuts were just average. Nothing special. more

We alwys enjoy going to Congdon's! It is one of those local favorites that has been around for a while and you enjoy over and over again. I got Irish eggs Benedict. Very tasty, but the home fries were not crisp, almost soggy. My husband got an omelet with sausage in it. Again good but not awesome. I think if the prices were more reasonable I would rate it higher. We didn't get doughnuts but the bakery did look good. I would try the Egg and I. more

Be prepared to wait year round...but the breakfasts are very good and for the price are HUGE! more
