A fun stop on our Maine trip

Being a household of "diners, drive-ins and dives" fans, we made a conscious effort to stop at the Maine Diner. We arrived at noon and had a 10-15 minute wait for a table, but it was worth it. This place takes a basic diner menu and makes it all so delicious. Mix that with heaping helpings of kindness and genuinely friendly waitstaff and you can't beat this touristy spot! Must order the lobster pie .... Do not leave without trying it.

Excellent for food and service. The atmosphere is busy and very energetic. These waitresses know how to order and serve. Kudos to them. Everything is great but I really love the belgian waffles, of course with butter and real maple syrup, maybe a side of bacon. But really, this is the place to go.

Seriously the best lobster pie I ever had. The lobster was perfect and it's really the crumb part. It was awesome. Coleslaw is good too and Blueberry homemade pie was great too. Expensive for diner food but worth it!

The Maine Diner is good any time of the day and ALWAYS busy, well I don't know about January or February but we have always had a short wait. We have visited for breakfast and lunch and it's always good, classic diner food with the typical diner atmosphere to accompany the much better than average food that is always fresh... More

This place is da bomb. Simple down home cooking. Prices are amazing. The wait time is all worth it. In fact, there is always a wait as the place is always packed. Good sign right there.

If you go anywhere near Wells , Maine people often ask if you went to the Maine Diner. Well we have. It is actually a Diner not very big but the food is delicious. Everything from the fried New England seafood or boiled lobster to comfort food like chicken pot pie and meatloaf. Portions are great, price is good but... More

Wether this is your first visit or tenth, you must go eat at this diner. The food was so good at anytime of the day. We ate breakfast, lunch and dinner and were in food nirvana🌈 The portions were the perfect size and the prices most affordable. The service is great. If you go at popular eating times, you will... On our most recent trip to Maine, we were fortunate enough to eat at the Maine Diner. The food was excellent! Their seafood chowder was the best I've ever had (especially with the corn muffin). The lobster pie was delicious!!!
