I love breakfast. Therefore, I love a good breakfast place. The Maine Diner is a good consistent breakfast place. It's not a great breakfast place. The place was hopping as usual, the day we visited. The line was moderate, and we were seated within 15 minutes. We took counter seats. The wait staff... read more

We had a great breakfast at Noon. I had the Irish Benedict, which was perfect for me, and my wife had 1 poached egg on hash that was prepared nicely for her. Also we were traveling with our dogs so we were able to park way out back under the trees so they were shaded while we eat, and take... More

I recommend coming here very early or late as it gets extremely crowded during normal meal hours. And there's a reason for this too! With reasonable prices, friendly staff, and awesome food, the Maine Diner is easily the best restaurant in the area. There is a wide variety of options on the menu (breakfast all day!), and the food comes... More

Busy place! A bit of a surprise at the prices for a "diner". Food was good. Enjoyed the gift shop next door.

This place is an institution for a reason, it does so many things right ! From the chowdah , to the fish preparations, it's possible to eat really well here at reasonable prices. Be prepared for long lines. No reservations .

Visited with the fam on a Tuesday afternoon for lunch. Love the atmosphere, reminds me of an old diner I used to visit often as a kid. Anywhere else, it would have been cramped and dated, but that's what a good diner is supposed to be. The service was great, extremely friendly. I got the chili burger...there's where the problem... The seafood chowder was the best chowder I ever had, with plenty of clams, scallops and shrimp. The lobster pie and the haddock were delicious. The service is quick and friendly. The restaurant has a big reputation, so expectations are very high. Well, my conclusion is that the reputation is very well earned.

There was a 45 min wait but it was worth every second. Our food was fantastic. I had the tuna melt and it was the best I think I've ever had. My son had the bbq pork and really loved it a lot. The waitress was very nice. It was definitely a great meal!!!

I'm a huge diner fan, but my expectations are high; I want service with a smile, Tasy food, a wide array of the basics with a little bit of originality, good portions and a strong visual "diner" look. And I got it all at the Maine Diner! Blueberry Pancakes were awesomely awesome. The Almond french toast were devine.Although she was... More
