Great Breakfast

We had the "Diner" breakfast. Reasonably priced and a lot of food. Hash and bacon were very good, home fries probably would have been if they were hot. Wait staff was friendly, helped each other with tables. Pleasantly surprised at how quickly we were served.

I stopped at the Maine Diner on a road trip with a friend with the intention of sampling some local cuisine. We were both really impressed! We ordered a lobster roll and a bowl of clam chowder each, and both were rich and filling. We ordered potato salad as a side, and I can safely say it was the best... More

Not sure what it is but our last few visits have been very average for a place which touts its reputation for excellence. The reason we keep going back is my wife's fondness for their Indian Pudding dessert. The meals leading up to that treasure are average at best. Staff are very nice and attentive but the food is blah,... More

Absolutely wonderful. Everything we heard was true. Great home cooked food and large menu. The staff is very pleasant. Everything from seafood to burgers. Try the lobster pie. You won't be disappointed.

Been here several times never disappointed. Breakfast served all day very reasonably priced. Lunch and dinner menu nice choices prices on these are moderate not too expensive but not cheap eats. Daily specials also available check their web site. They usually do renovations in January (opened year round) so check ahead of time if you make this a destination. Expect... More

Extensive menu, 30 year history of quality service and good food at a moderate price. The menu tends to be on the old school side, but it wouldn't be a 'diner' if it wasn't. There are some lower fat entrees like grilled chicken and baked haddock. Very few broiled dishes- mostly fried. Great desserts. Breakfast served anytime.

Excellent food and service every time we visit! Definitely worth the wait (I like to visit gift shop while we was during the summer!) One of our favorites!
