Love the home fries

I've been to the Maine Diner several times over the past 18 years or so. It's never done me wrong! It's always really busy but the service has always been friendly and prompt. My favorite thing there by far are the home fries! Red potatoes seasoned and cooked to perfection! I could easily make a... read more

Friends recommended this diner to us as "must go". My husband had the lobster roll and said it was good. My lobster melt was okay - the english muffin was burned. It took me a while before I realized what was "off" for me. It is not a comfortable place, unless you get a booth. Let's face it, tables for... More

Whenever in the area, we try to treat ourselves at this legendary diner......we usually get breakfast at lunchtime.... my wife loves the almond crusted french toast, but tonight we both had a delicious meal of chicken pot pie....plentiful and very reasonably priced

We love diners and this has been a "must" for years. The atmosphere is nice and the set up retro. We used to love the food too but the last two trips (2015) have left us rather "blah". Just something missing. It might be that a bit if laziness has set in. The only thing Very Good is still their... More

We always look forward with anticipation to our first taste of Maine Lobster at the Maine Diner on our travels to Camden. There are several lobster offerings denoted by a small "Lobster" asterisk on the menu. All lobster menu items include a 5 oz. portion of " fresh picked Lonster meat." There are several additional options including "Salads," "Diner Food,"... More

As we stopped at the Visitor's Center the Maine Diner was recommended to us. When we drove by it was BUSY, a good sign since it was definitely during the off season. So we decided to eat there and were not disappointed! There was a bit of a wait, so we stopped in the gift shop as we waited for... More

We found this place is the real deal. Great food as seen on TV. Have the stuffed baked shrimp. Skip the gift shop and get some blueberry pie and blueberry ice cream.

How lucky we were to come across this restaurant on our recent visit to Wells, Me. It is so clean; the waitresses were very friendly, service was great and to our surprise, the food was delicious! We had the best breakfast with large size portions. It was so good that we returned for a light supper. For an inexpensive diner,... More

Having worked in the restaurant industry and been all over the world, I will have to say that this place is just a regular diner with ok food. It was nothing special at all. I wonder if The Phantom Gourmet and Guy Feuri get paid to come and review certain places and tell people the food is really great when... More

We stumbled across this diner en route to New Hampshire and decided to try it out. The parking lot was pretty full, and the restaurant had several couples waiting to be seated. The hostess gave us a buzzer, so we sat outside. After about 10 min, we were seated at the counter in the restaurant. It took several minutes for... More
