Although a little late this season, i finally made it in and was not disappointed. "The Catch" as the locals call it epitomizes New England charm with its decor, location and of course food. If you are looking for the quintessential Maine dining experience for great New England fare and atmosphere this is a must stop!

Good food, very casual, good prices. We went in at 5:30 and we had no wait. The lobster was good but not any better than any other place we have been to. Not a place if you want to stay and talk for a long period of time.

Every restaurant gets the same live lobsters from the same ocean. It's your choice as to where you want to eat one. This place is a rustic "in the rough" kind of place. We've been here more than once, and we'll be back. Ample free parking. You probably will have a long wait "in season." You'll sit on a wooden... More

We had just arrived after 8 hours on the road and were really hungry. Despite the 15-minute expected wait, they served us a delicious cup of clam chowder in the bar/waiting room and by the time we finished that, our table was ready. We had no sooner ordered than the food "magically" appeared within a few minutes...unbelievable....I guess it doesn't... More

If I had drove by this small roadside resturant, I probably wouldn't have stopped. From the outside it appears small, kind of a "dive" place. One of my friends who is a Wells local said it had the best seafood so we gave it a shot. I was not dissappointed. Reasonable prices, fast service, and awesome food. Be prepared to... More

I have eaten here a few times. It never disappoints. The food is fresh and the staff are very nice. I'm not big on the picnic style combined party eating but, the do a great job. Lobster stew some of the best I have had.. better than Mikes Clam Shack and less expensive.. it is off the beaten path behind... More

We ate at the Catch about seven years ago and it's like home cooking......Well I can report the Catch is as good as ever and prices are still "A Steal". Go early to avoid the long wait, since they only hold reservations for 6+ people.....So it's first come...first serve. Don't be concerned about the number of cars parked on the side... More

This is the perfect family dinner spot if you are staying in Ogunquit or Wells. It's easy to find off of Route 1 just past the center of Wells. Prices are very reasonable. Very casual setting where you sit on a picnic tables with red&white checkered tablecloths and where the papertowels are suspended from the ceiling. I really like the... More
