Great down home seafood

A friend introduced us to this place while we were visiting. I love the small lobster pound kind of place, no frills, great food at a good price with nice staff! Definitely check it out you won't regret it.

Right on the marsh and always crowded, we stop here any time we are in Wells for the beach, shopping or camping. The plate that lets you sample two types of fish- haddock and scallops for example- is around $20 and comes with fries and home made coleslaw. There's a bar and outdoor tables.Do not let all the cars and the... More

This is a place all the locals said was good. It was very old fashioned inside, wood walls, lots of windows with a view of an estuary. Not fancy but we new it was good because of how busy they always were. They had the usual fried seafood, clams, shrimp etc, lobster and chowders. They also had wonderful haddock tacos... More

The fried whole belly clams, scallops and haddock are amazing due to the chefs light and flavorful coating on fresh seafood, done when you put in your order. It's all done onsite and fresh. The atmosphere is casual and fun, picnic tables and rolls of paper towels overhead. The staff is young and energetic with a smile every time! My... More

This is the classic example of a coastal restaurant. Open air and picnic tables under an open framed roof. Paper plates and paper towels on a roll overhead add to the experience. We ate here several days running due to the great food. The clam chowder was loaded with clams and was very rich and creamy. The several fish dinners... More

We tried to get into the Steakhouse due to all the local plates in the parking lot. However, there was a long wait so we went travlin. The Fisherman's catch truly was - a catch-. The food was fantastic. I enjoyed the fried oysters. This is a disposable plate kind of resturant, but charming . Paper towels rolls hang on... More
