This restaurant has been around a long time. I have tried it several different times over the years and the food is no better. I have also done take out and every time the order has not been correct. In the summer months there is a long wait to be seated. It is also very noisy. I have given up... More

We were seated at our table by 6:30. Were not greeting by a waiter/waitress until 7pm. Food arrived at 8:30, cold and in one case, incorrect order. We went with 2 other couples. The wait staff was friendly enough, the atmosphere was nice, but it took far to long to be served, food to arrive and then cold...Not a pleasant... More

For fast sports bar type food it is OK. Most everything is fried, non fish food tastes "fishy" and the place is always crowded. It feels like it is the "tourist" place to go for seafood and theythrive on turnover. No a bad place for kids as the Mac and cheese is good. The bar area in the back has... More

Been here before and was expecting better. Clam chowder was not hot and just okay. Seafood chowder was hot and very good. Zucchini appetizer was not good; pieces too thick and undercooked. Baked haddock was good and fried shrimp basket contained a good amount of shrimp. Service was very friendly but not very good. Overall - getting a bit sloppy.

The wait was not as long as I expected. The decor is really mediocre. However the food was plentiful and hot when served. The lobster stew is a definite must have. The shore dinner is good and filling. The broiled sampler was much enjoyed. However, the lobster Mac n cheese is worth the trip by itself. Our server was fast,... More

This place is no shack! It was a very pleasant surprise. Yes it is popular and noisy and big. Still, the menu has something for everyone at decent prices and good service. We were a party of 13 and everyone enjoyed their meal. Our choices ranged from baked and broiled fish, to Italian pasta dishes, to fancy salads done with... More

We visit Wells Beach every year for a week in the summer. We normally have eaten at Mikes at least twice during the week as it was a family favorite. This summer we went on the first night of the week and the meal was not very good. My son ordered the fried clams which were very small, not what... More

Recently revisited Mike's Clam Shack and had the twin lobsters. The meat was so sweet and tasty. My 10yr old son had the BBQ ribs and loved them so much he kept begging to make a second trip in a week. My young daughter loved the buttered noodles which were new to the kids menu since our last visit. Seating... More

We eat here all the time when we come to Wells and have never had a bad experience. A long wait...yes. But it's summer. Anyone who thinks that they're going to have a short wait is crazy ;) The lobster stew is to die for...Full of meat and absolutely delicious. The scallops in the baked scallops are tender...Never chewy. Portions... More
