Hobbs Harborside was a fantastic fine. Great food, great service. Second choice after leaving The Captain's Catch up the road due to a very rude hostess and poor service.

Billy Hobbs, founder of the iconic Billy's Chowder House in Wells, ME which he sold in 1990, is back and has taken over the former Lord's Harborside Restaurant. It's now Hobbs Harborside Restaurant which has been beautifully renovated. We went for dinner twice last week having wonderful seafood diners along with excellent, attentive service. I had a 1 1/4 lb.(more... More

The service is good, and the view is great. That's where the good part stops. The chowder is soup, not chowder. Chowder is thick and creamy, this chowder was milky and maybe had some water scooped out of the harbor. There is a varity of chopped clams and whole clams. The potato was large chunks that were mushy. Being life... More

Yes this restaurant is under new ownership. And yes there are "kinks" to be ironed out. We have been twice and did not go at peak ours for dining. The quality of the food at Hobb's Harborside is excellent and presentation is as well. Reading other reviews, it's unfair to be so negative and critical not knowing the background of... More

This was the worst restaurant experience of my life. We went there on July 12th, not realizing that there was a change of ownership and that this was their opening night - on a Saturday night in season! I ordered the usual clam chowder, clams, and lobster combination which should have been dead easy for a Maine seafood restaurant. My... More

Restaurant is now Hobbs Harborside. Please add to your listings so I can review under the correct name. The new restaurant is very good and I want others to be aware that they are open. Thank you for your assistance.

This is a fantastic restaurant. Much better than Lords. The have a bar, it's updated, awesome windows and view. Food is great. One huge problem it's way too loud can't hear yourself think. Maybe something to cut the echo? Rugs, tiles something.

We ate dinner on the suggestion of our Hotel Owner. Great choice. The scallops were perfectly cooked, the view was amazing. It was absolutely delicious. Chowders were amazing. Clean (cause it's new) But the service was good and everyone extremely friendly. This is a must visit
