Great pizza and pleasant service with a casual atmosphere. This was a our 4th visit and have not been disappointed. Staff is welcoming and each pizza is made fresh while you wait. We especially love the salted pizza dough that's served warm with olive oil and spices for dipping.

This is a fun restaurant. The place has a 60's hippie dippie vibe. There was 60's music playing. The restaurant is casual and threadbare in a countercultural way. There's a big brick oven in the restaurant and that's where the action is. We were served some very good garlic bread after being seated. We had a couple of pizzas- one... More

As a Colby student I was a regular at Grand Central, both dining in and taking out. Their gluten free pizza is delicious and you can put just about whatever you want on it. The restaurant itself has a fun low-key atmosphere and the staff are so friendly.

Visited again on our trip to Maine. We are from Chicago, and we know good pizza. It is fantastic. Very comfortable place, friendly service from Julia and incredible pizza. Try the homemade, made to order garlic bread! Dont miss this place if you are near Waterville!

My husband and I went here specifically because everyone raved about their pizza. We were not disappointed. It was the best wood fired pizza I had ever had. The atmosphere of the place is quite eclectic. I actually found it rather cool that none of our dishes matched! If you are looking for something out of the ordinary this is... More

I was completely won over by their brick-oven pizza the first few times I went to Grand Central Café. The atmosphere is "hippie-cool," something designed to appeal to the Colby crowd. Alas, I began having bad luck with my pizzas, and that discouraged me from giving them another chance. When done well--and with a cook who's attentive--the pizzas are just... More

We arrived here just before closing time, so maybe that had something to do with our experience. Overall, everything was average and prices seemed a little high for the pizzas that we ordered. ($9.95 each for small pizza, half and half of two of the listed specialty pizzas) We each had a nice cold IPA beer which was served in... More

Brick oven cooking: great! Casual place: great! Don't expect candles, soft lighting, table cloths: great!!! Some more words to pad this review to more than 100 words. There!
