Dinner & Breakfast

Quite a variety on the menu made choosing hard. Dinners - the steak tips & the butternut ravioli - were OK. The tips could use a nice marinade and the ravioli could use more sauce. Dinner gets an "Average" - breakfast takes it up to 4 dots. The breakfast buffet had an excellent range of carbs... read more

We only ate there once. My haddock was delicious but my French fries were a bit on the cooler side and the coleslaw dressing lacked seasoning. We have eaten here before and the food was better. Maybe it was just an off night, being the weekend.

Not much for fast food but on a road trip I need to eat near the highway so I check for a local dinnerlike place especially at lunchtime. Found this place with good reviews. Lobster roll and onion rings were good. Fast and very friendly service. Looked like a very good bakery and many customers seemed to be enjoying desserts.... More

Having never been to Waterville before, decided to stop here based on what it looked like from the road. The dining area is upstairs, so it could be a problem for people with mobility issues. It was a typical local restaurant seating area that happens to have a train circling around the room up above. We had a late lunch... More

Had never tried this restaurant before had only read reviews so was expecting a pretty good meal. I think the food was ok but it really was at best only warm. I am fussy I like my food hot...I'll admit that but for some reason both my wife's food and mine were about the temperature you would expect when your... More

The menu at Governor's, attached to our hotel, the Fireside Inn, wasn't fancy but the feed was very good and the baked goods fresh from the bakery. The clams were good enough to have two nights in a row. The waitstaff -- in the morning at breakfast and in the evening -- were always friendly and attentive. A good, family... More

My family loves Governor's, no matter which location or which meal we're there for. This restaurant is very family friendly both in cost and atmosphere. Although there are usually quite a few seniors. If good food and value are your priorities then Governor's is the place for you. I don't know if we've had a bad meal and the staff... More

Stopped by for a quick lunch. The service was friendly but a bit slow. The onion rings were a little under cooked. The turkey sandwich was ok. The chicken strips were quite good. Not that it matters but the train wasn't working.

onion rings with their famosly well done burgers and fresh baked goodies like the blueberry-lemon cake with ice cream. I loved the little train that they have on patrol around the dining room. See it to beleive it!!
