We were visiting Mom-In-Law in Waterville, Maine in July 2014, and she suggested Joseph's for the steak dinner I wanted. It's actually a really neat old wooden building on a golf course, that used to be the Pro Shop! Has high, peaked all wooden beam/plank ceiling and walls -- gorgeous! On the other hand, since the place was absolutely packed... More

Beautiful rustic interior with a great view of the golf course. Service was very friendly and accommodating, although it did take quite awhile for us to get our food, including the appetizer. However, once we got our meals, we had burgers, they were cooked to perfection, which made it worth the wait. I thought the prices were great, especially considering... More

To help friends celebrate a sinificant wedding anniversary, we decided to take them to dinner at Joseph's, a place they'd never tried before. A week ahead of time, we called to make a reservation and talked to a very friendly, helpful gentleman who offered seating "on the porch with a nice view of the golf course", and noted our request... This place is really beautiful inside. The wait was not long, even though it was a Friday night. We had a great dinner of steak tips and two sides. The salads and rolls came quickly after we ordered, and the entree came within minutes of us finishing them. Our server, Holly, was very efficient and helpful. She checked in with us... More

WE were at Joseph's last year and it was Wonderful, our food was Fresh and came exactly the way we ordered it. Our waitress was knowledgeable and we had a great time. We came back this may and it was awful, our young waitress said she could not wait to get off work so she could go out with her... More

My wife and I had heard about Joseph's from someone we had met on the street in Gardiner and finally go to it. Set on the town golf course, the log cabin structure, with adequate parking, we ordinary on the outside and equally ordinary on the inside -- plain but functional with a long bar and fireplace at one end.... Both my husbands and my steak were very bland and Dry. We also ordered Iced tea and ended up being served Warm tea and when we asked the waitress for a glass of ice - she took her time bringing the ice to us. Definitely have no plans on returning to this establishment in the future.

We have visited a few times and the meals have been the same. The food is okay, but does not leave me feeling like I want to hurry back. I had a special, I believe it was Divan Suzanne. I was disappointed as it was not flavorful and not tender. My wife had the Petite Medallions and she enjoyed them.... More

For the price, the food is a little boring. It tastes like it lacks passion, even though the prices are high market average. I'd like to see a little more seasoning used to compliment this restaurants entrees.
