The Narrows is an unassuming community tavern very good food, a wide assortment of draft beers as well as the bottled standards. The place opens at 11am. The food is substantial, prepared on site, neither effete nor bulk freezer to fryer as is 'way too common along this coast. The clientele includes most of the locals... Professionals, clammers, retired folks...The... More

Dined at the Narrow's Tavern on a recent Friday evening with my family. This is a small, local's spot with picnic tables and a small bar. The waitstaff was friendly, and many of the tables were full. Soon after our departure, entertainment was to start, taking up the space of one of about seven tables. We chose this establishment based... More

Driving back from Rockland, decided to stop at Narrow's Tavern. An unexpected experience. The place was hopping with lots of laughter. ( Happy Hour ) The bartender/waitress came over to our table with a smile and the right attitude. My husband is a beer drinker and they had plenty on tap to choose from. We both ordered the haddock rueben,... More

A really terrific little local place if you're in midcoast Maine with a "Cheers"-like atmosphere. Mostly filled with charming, musically talented locals instead of tourists. First, it has great entertainment on Tuesdays and Fridays, local folks who play great folk-based music along with other styles. The Tuesday night atmosphere had people dancing in the "aisles", including grandmothers and small children... More

The bartender Jess was super nice. If you want to rub elbows with the locals this is a great bar. The teryaki wings were good.

We recently spent my "birthday week," in Friendship, ME and hit The Narrows multiple times. This place is wonderful and in the very close, neighboring town of Waldoboro. I had one of the best pieces of haddock ever, which was served baked/stuffed with a seafood stuffing. The haddock was so fresh and prepared perfectly! We also stopped a few times... More

The Narrows Tavern is an unassuming, friendly place situated in the heart of the charming little town of Waldoboro, Maine. It's a great place to have a beer, and kick back, but it also serves delicious meals. The cuisine is what one would expect of tavern fare, but it is prepared exceptionally well, and the specials offer customers upscale dishes... More

The second time i ordered steak tips and they were very tough. My friend ordered fish and she goes here on a regular basis and she... More
