Been wanting to try this place forever and stopped this trip because of heavy rain. I travel with a service animal and when we came in we were treated so well ... not a minutes hesitation and a great table for 4 even tho' the diner was very busy. Connie, our server, was great and my breakfast was perfectly prepared.... More

Go here for their deserts. Moody's deserts are delicious, but the meals were just not what we had expected. The blueberry pie was fabulous.

Driving the scenic route to Bar Harbor and restaurants are few and far between. Sign caught my eye and wife said one of her friends recommended it so we pulled in. Had to wait a few minutes to sit since we were a party of 6 and they only seem to have one or two configurations that can seat that... More

We were driving by in late afternoon and saw their sign for fresh strawberry pie, so thought we'd give it a try. Nice diner ambience, and the pie lived up to its reputation, but the seafood platter was disappointingly average. Certainly nothing special for the price.

What else do you do on a rainy day in Maine? ... Shop and eat. Moody's Diner is a great place for a diner experience, and has to have the best pies in town. Whole the food was great, Moody's really does not accommodate large groups, so if you are a group of five or more (we were seven), expect... More

The chowder taste like warm milk with fish no flavor. The seafood platter was frozen fish without question. The cheeseburger and fried chicken were ok. Cannot believe this place is a recommendation. We did not try dessert but it was plastic wrapped at counter. The service was ok.

Loved the food, coffee was great. Everything you expect in a good classic diner, you'll receive. Make sure it's a stop on your way to North Maine!

This diner is adorable, don't get me wrong. I like the vibe but don't feel the food is worth the wait. If you are heading to Moody's starving, have a snack before you go because you are GOING TO WAIT. The blueberry pancakes are very good and another tip, if you are ordering the homefries, ask for them to be... More

Haven't been to Moody's in years, but it is just as I remembered: great value, tasty food, large portions, and (of course) the pie. Service is friendly and attentive, seafood is fresh and cooked right. And the portions are large, so really, I had no room for desert. Nonetheless, that did not stop us from ordering pie -- 4 berry,... More

Moody's Diner is a step back in time with wonderful food and friendly staff. We recently stopped there for lunch after reading about the diner and it was one of the food highlights of our Maine vacation. I ordered the Hot Turkey Sandwich. The sandwich had real roasted turkey, real mashed potatoes covered in gravy with a side of green... More
