Love the breakfasts and the true diner experience

Always visit here every year while in Maine. Really enjoy the feeling that almost takes you back in time. Food is very good and lots of choices. We also really like the gift shop next door that is part of Moody's. Cinnamon rolls are great!

Every time we are on vacation in this area, we stop here for a wholesome lunch. Very well organized restaurant, same help has been here for a long time, and the food portions are good as well as large!

We've heard about the desserts at Moody's from the owners of the cottage we were renting from. So we checked it out and discovered the food was good as well. The food is your typical diner fare, but its done very well. The desserts were heavenly. From cakes to pies all so decadently good.

I was in mid-coast Maine for 4 days and even though my hotel was rather far from Moody's diner, I just had to go there! Several generations of the Moody family have run this diner and they still serve country cooking and homemade pies that are out of this world! Also, the Moody name has become an institution and you... More

My parents had been taking me here for my entire childhood so I passed on the tradition to my wife and son. My son is a little too young to know what was going on but the diner is very family friendly so he enjoyed the attention of the waitstaff. My wife loved her experience as much as I always... More

I've been going to Moody's Diner for breakfast, lunch and pies. Breakfast is very reasonable yummy and just what you need to start the day. Lunch is hot, fresh, and very affordable. For a snack or dessert order some pie. Their pies are always baked daily and are very good, for the price of a slice you can share with... More

First read about this place in an article in the "Yankee" I think it was called. The place has lots of history. It's good food and it came fast. The service was ok but not great. Yes it was busy but even a small smile goes a long way. Besides that it was a cold day and it was freezing... More

My wife and I stayed at the motel for 3 days. You can imagine where we started our days. 2 days we had breakfast to start our days. We have stayed before and as usual the meals were delicious. One of the days we got off to a late start and decided to begin our day with lunch. It was... More

I stopped in Moody's around 6:16 am on a Wednesday. I think I was the only out of stater there. It seemed like all the others were locals. The service was excellent, the food came quickly and it was delicious. I had a meat lovers omelet and my only minor complaint was that the ham seemed salty. The home fries... More

My wife and I shared a seafood platter with homemade potato salad and some vegetable beef stew and a side salad. We were served 2 fresh biscuits with our meals. The seafood was lightly battered and perfectly cooked. The beef stew was delicious. As usual we had leftovers for another meal that we took with us.
