Great Sauerkraut

Love the Sauerkraut on my rubins, and for baking with potato and hot dogs or sausage.and just eat a few bites raw in the morning to boost my probiotics.

Besides having a "European Deli" with fabulous specialty foods from all over Europe and sauerkraut and pickles, there is a small cafe. We had lunch that started with two small bowls of pickle chips. The menu included different sausages, baked beans and brown bread, pirogi, and a daily blackboard specials. We had bratwurst, house kraut, and beans. A great lunch... More

We went slightly out of our way to visit Morse's Sauerkraut and we are so glad we did. They had wonderful specialty items from all over the world. Their sauerkraut and pickles were fantastic. We ordered a few menu selections and packed a picnic for an afternoon at Mount Battie. For those in the area missing Pennsylvania scrapple, they even... More

Those who like German foods come here. A large selection of hard to find favorite German foods. Small eating area, you may have to wait a bit, many people come just to purchase the merchandise. They also carry other European foods, I think you would be pleasantly surprised what is available. All kind of sausages and cheese.

We come here to get our expensive cheese and sausage fix. They have some of Europe's best cheese, and the sausage... omg the sausage. It's pretty pricey (hence the 4 stars) but for special occasions nothing is better then a grab bag from the best importer we have found in maine!

4 of us enjoyed a great lunch in the very small restaurant. Only 6 booths, but worth waiting for. The German food was well prepared and authentic. Very large portions prevented us from getting dessert. It was flavorful, well seasoned and came with a nice selection of drinks. The small grocery store had many hard to find food items. Service... The idea of sauerkraut has always been a turn off,but this place is amazing. The fresh in house made spaetzel, the absolutely perfectly golden brown schnitzel and the pretzel rokraut were heavenly. The staff are ALL fantastic!they also serve a wide variety of non alcoholic drinks with the food. The little shop attached to restaurant has the kind of selection from around the... More

We are visiting in the area, and usually research on TA for the best local places to visit, we came to Morse's. The reviews were right...great food, very knowledgeable help, especially our server, Jen, who, when asked what the Red Flannel Hash was, gave us a detailed answer. They have a wide variety of interesting items throughout the store and... More

A very long time ago, we used to stop at Morse's to buy fresh, homemade sauerkraut. It was nothing like the nasty stuff you get in a jar at the supermarket. Morse's fresh sauerkraut is incredibly delicious! When we were visiting our friends in the area, they suggested lunch at Morse's, since there is now a small restaurant there. We... More

We live in the area yet had never been to Morse's before. What a great find! We arrived early, around 11:15, for lunch and were seated right away. My husband had the pastrami reuben, with a side of cole slaw and a kielbasa. He thoroughly enjoyed his meal. I had 3 different pierogies (potato cheese, spinach feta, mushroom kraut), warm... More
