Who knew that this cute European deli/cafe existed? The space is small but packed with all sorts of European goodies that are hard to find outside of Europe. I love breakfast in their cafe. Its a small space so go early if you want to get a table without waiting. The cheese blintze with sour cherry compote are amazing. The... More

We loved the sandwiches and some of us even enjoyed the Sour Mustard Pickles-we have seen them in other restaurants in Maine. The German Chocolate cake and apple strudel were outstanding. Then they even repacked some of the mustard pickles for us so that we could take them on a plane back to Texas. This place is a little off... More

We had driven past this place several times and didn't know what a treasure it is?was! The BEST Rueben sandwich on the planet and their pickles are to die for. The store is filled with wonderful delicacies also. Oh and the hot potato salad... WOW!

My wife and I are no strangers to the store. We buy German goods there and of course Sauerkraut! We also love the Sour Mustard Pickles. It's easy to kill a c-note there especially if you have lunch or dinner and shop in the store. So, this was our first time eating there and we were not disappointed. I had... More

The restaurant is tiny, maybe 5 tables, but the food is worth the wait. I mean, homemade sauerkraut on delicious hot dogs served in a homemade pretzel bun. Where else can you get that! But all the other food on the menu is delicious too. Imported sausages, with all the fixin's and much more. This is a really popular spot.... More

This is an incredibly well-stocked delicatessen, specializing in their own sauerkraut and a very wide range of sausages. Beyond that they have such items at Haagse Hopjes from the Netherlands, the entire range of Mackay preserves from Scotland, unusual pates from France, crackers from Norway, Sweden, and Denmark, etc etc. At Christmas time they have Dresdener Stollen, and other seasonal... I would never have thought to stop here, but a family referral made me curious; and it sure paid off. With super deli right there, brimming with all manner of treats to sample, if there is a wait for your table, you'll hardly notice. Excellent, real homemade food with a reasonable assortment of choices; save room for a Bavarian sweet... More
