Not only is this a lovely little restaurant, it is a fantastic deli. If you like German food then this is a place you must visit. The wide array of choices in cheeses, sausages, and many many more items if wonderful.

The rural Maine location makes this restaurant quite a find. Here you will find a half dozen booths (unfortunately facing the only bathroom), serve yourself pickle jars on the tables, and a menu featuring kraut, sausages, and other German-style foods. We stopped for lunch on the way to the coast and enjoyed reubens, perogies, and an excellent mac and cheese.... More

Spent most of the time waiting to be seated at the restaurant browsing in the adjacent specialty shop. The shop is impressive, but the dining was nothing to write home about. The lengthy wait and very limited seating made the experience less than satisfactory. Restaurant needs to be upsized.

Authentic german food in the heart of Maine that is rather unexpected. We visited Morse's on a rainy day in Maine during our vacation and while this is a great outing to do when the weather is not wholly cooperating, everyone else also had the same idea. We waited over an hour and a half for our table but fortunately... More

My husband and myself had lunch-I ate the Rueben and he ate the Kraut Dogs. Choices of mustards on the table as well as pickles to snack on. The saurkraut is the best I have had. Small restaurant, friendly waitress. Dessert-german chocolate cake-we need to return to try more of their delicious foods. The Deli was amazing-so much to explore.... More

The people working the meat and cheese counter were extremely friendly and helpful. They let us try different combinations until we found the perfect meats (a local Maine pastrami and a smoked salami) and cheese (la peral and manchego) for our picnic. They had a pretty remarkable selection of both.

I always love to shop here with the variety of specialty items! We waited about an hour to eat here last week and it was worth the wait for sure, the Ice Tea was perfect! The 3 crocks of pickles on the table was a nice added feature to add to your meal or just eat while waiting! The wait... More

Out behind Waldoboro, Maine, there's a German restaurant attached to a European products deli attached to a sauerkraut manufacturer. Because the place is so small-- just five booths-- and popular and because the food is so good, there's often a wait but, be patient, it will be worth it. European entrees like sauerbraten and rouladen and sausage platters taste like... More

We've been going to Morse's for years and really like it. It's a great place to bring visitors from away as there's something for just about everyone. The German restaurant is great and offers a delicious variety of foods. The picks are to die for! The restaurant gets very busy especially in high season. be prepared to wait a little... More

My friends and I decided to take a Sunday ride and ended up for lunch at the Kraut House. What a wonderful experience. Being the granddaughter of a German cook, I appreciate the smells and taste of good German food. This was the real thing! It is a very small dinning room and the wait was somewhat long but boy,...
