We stopped, as many do, for dinner on the way out of Acadia NP. We had a drive ahead of us so we were ahead of a potential dinner rush and the restaurant wasn't crowded. Everyone was really friendly and they took our order quickly. My wife's fried clams and my pulled pork were both very good. My onion rings... More

Loved our experience at the lobster pound!!! A little skeptical walking in - and I didn't dare go to the washroom there - but it was SOOOOO good. The staff were incredibly welcoming and nice to our energetic A highlight of our trip!

My family and I have traveled to the area for the past three years. The food highlight of our trip is stopping for a delicious meal at this restaurant. The environment is casual, the food is excellent.

We've stopped here more than once in the past, and left happy again this year after eating very good lobster rolls, along with some of the pulled pork. Fries were a bit heavy, and the service is a mite slow if you're used to NYC metro area's pace, but polite and otherwise attentive. Would recommend without any reservations.

My wife and I stopped in here on the recomendation of some friends who rave about the bbq here. They were right, it was fantastic. My wife had the half chicken, which was the juiciest bbq chicken we have ever had. I had the brisket and ribs combo with two sides, coleslaw and onion rings. I had 2 onion rings... More

Maybe they do good barbecue, but the fried seafood was soggy and overpriced for the small portions. The clams were very tough and the fish was dry. I will have to find some good clams down to Old Orchard Beach.

We were dissapointed with our vist. We have some fantastic bbq joints back it pig country. If my meal was an indicator this place couldn't survive. Coleslaw was just chopped cabbage no salad dressing. Beef brisket was dry and chewing approaching jerky. Onion rings were under cooked. Fried breading raw onion.

Seafood and service were average. Bbq was cold; it was the pits. Overheard others rave and wondered why they picked on us. Other reviewers seem positive about the place but based on our experience we'll go elsewhere.

Had a great dinner here. Two in our family don't like seafood, so this was a great choice. The barbecue was excellent, and I'm told the lobster was amazing. My kids loved the lobster Mac and cheese.
