We stopped here for a change from lobster and because we heard they had good bar-b-q. The chicken was as good as advertised. My husband had the sausage and it was also very good. We had enough for another meal. The cherry pie was nothing special. The prices were high even for Bar Harbor. Much higher than we spend at... More

Pros: really good onion rings, fries and blueberry lemonade. Decent chowder and blueberry pie. Cons: Crappy kid's mac n cheese. Totally looks like it came out of a box and a small portion to boot. People had good comments on their potato salad but I found it flavorless. And possibly the worst lobster roll on our trip to Bar Harbor.... More

Noticed this place while driving by...lots of cars in the parking lot so figured it must be good. We weren't disappointed...it was raining so we sat inside; there was a nice fire going in the fireplace which took the chill off the evening. We both ordered the bbq chicken, along with corn on the cob and red potatoes as sides.... More

The lobster was great. All of our sides were great. We ordered combos lobster and smoked sausage and lobster and ribs all food was fantastic. Servers were very very friendly. The kitchen is outdoors so you can watch your food being prepared

Took my husband here bc I was craving pork. Pork was very dry had to smother it with BBQ sauce. Sides were small to the point where my husband without saying anything to him asked if I wanted to go get a cheeseburger afterwards. I left hungry which says a bit, it doesn't take much to fill me. I could... More

Dear Customer? The reason why I am questioning if you were a customer is because no customer has ever left here hungry! It is quite the opposite as we pride ourselves on our big portions and policy of offering customers additional sides if requested. Our Pitt master has been creating BBQ for over 35 years and our pulled pork is... More

We stopped in because it looked like a really cool lobster place. Lackluster service was followed by overpriced food. The staff was pleasant, just not very attentive or concerned. The seafood was just OK. The BBQ was not great. Maybe it was an off night. Not what we thought it was going to be.

When in Maine, there are a ton of Lobster places - lobster pits, lobster pounds, fancy lobster, lobster rolls - you get the point. But, there are very few places you can get real bbq AND lobster! Great food and environment..will be back next time we are up north!

We stopped, as many do, for dinner on the way out of Acadia NP. We had a drive ahead of us so we were ahead of a potential dinner rush and the restaurant wasn't crowded. Everyone was really friendly and they took our order quickly. My wife's fried clams and my pulled pork were both very good. My onion rings... More

Loved our experience at the lobster pound!!! A little skeptical walking in - and I didn't dare go to the washroom there - but it was SOOOOO good. The staff were incredibly welcoming and nice to our energetic A highlight of our trip!
