My wife and I ate here on the last night of our honeymoon in Maine and I use the term "ate" loosely, we left shorty after our appetizer because it made me ill. We ordered the Smoked Seafood Platter thinking that being in Maine this would be a great treat, it was not, we were served a plate of mussels,... More

If you are looking for a tasty meal - fresh vegetables, borscht made using beets from a neighboring garden, walnut encrusted salmon, for example- oh, and homemade bread! - all at a reasonable price -you won't be disappointed. The couple that run the Inn are warm and personable - husband is the chef and wife is the waitress! The Inn... More

The srury Inn feels lieka throwback to the 50's -- the view from the dining room is great but the dining room itself does not have much charm. Food was lovely but the one server had too many tables to handle and so service was either too slow or too speedy.

We had dinner at the Surry Inn last night and enjoyed eating there very much. The food is good, with fresh vegetables properly cooked and solid entries. We were there with friends and the scallops and the salmon were both hits. It was a very warm evening, so I had cold borscht soup, which certainly was the best I've ever... More

took my current visitor-from-away to the delightful surry inn, a long time favorite of mine... reception warm and welcoming, room charming and quiet enough for conversation, enticing menu selections hard to choose from, dinner quite excellent (as always), and our window looked out over contention cove, a glorious view of sea and pine trees and clouds reflecting sunlight...a perfect evening!

Had dinner at sunset. What a stunning site. Quaint and romantic. A great place to celebrate a special occasion. Good food and polite service.

Ate at the Surry Inn on their last day of the 2012 season. The scallops were to die for. Enjoyed the meal and conversation with the owner.

Was here awhile back, and found the food to be okay, prices were high, but the view was outstanding, walked in and no one to be found, guess we should have left then. I wouldn't recommend dining here, unless it has changed.

We had a very nice meal here during our stay in Ellsworth. Surry is just down the road from where we were staying. We were seated right in front a large picture window with views of the bay. I timed our reservation so that we would be there during the sunset and it was gorgeous from where we were seated.... More

The food was delicious and the sunset was terrific. The owner/server is a lovely lady. The Inn is a quaint historical inn with a large lawn overlooking a bay.
