Delicious food and plenty of variety. The dessert menu was long and delicious. Service was quick and very friendly.

Not pricy. Food was good. Not a fancy restaurant. Service can be slow when crowded. Located in the middle of this small town by hotels and shops.

Waiting a year to come back to the Fisherman's friend in Stonington. One of our faves not to miss each year. Drove from Bar Harbor only to find they were closed for a private party. Shucks! So, very hungry, we stumbled upon the Harbor Cafe near by. I should have read the TA reviews first because they are pretty accurate.... More

Doing what you have been doing best for more years than I care to count, which is serving excellent regional meals. Places like the Harbor Cafe are hard to find in franchise America. A place where real people are cooking real meals.People like Lori. The Friday Fish Fry (Seconds on us) is a deal, and you have probably read about... More

Good coffee, excellent French toast, eggs good. This is the place for breakfast in Stonington. The view out the front window is great. What makes it more interesting, is the picture that was painted from the perspective of where we were seated. Try to get those seats. Lunch and dinner looked good,I wish we were around to try them.

Arrived in Stonington early on a Tuesday morning, and this was the only place open. The food was, shall we say, ok. Did not care for the coffee, it was weak. But the waitresses were cheerful even though service was somewhat slow (may have been because a lot of people were in there and they only had two waitresses). Susie... More

We stopped in for lunch on our last day on Deer Isle. Fun little cafe with the best lobster stew! Good local feel and eats!

We had a two week stay at a rental and tried this one once and wouldn't return. The food was below average and wait staff bordered on rude. The prices are high: one special was lobster dinner for two at $24. Anyone can walk to the lobster dock on Allen street and buy new she'll lobster for less than $5/pound... More

Visited on June 27, 2014 for lunch. Got the lobster roll special. Very good and a decent price ($9.99). Came with chips and drink. Lots of lobster chunks--falling out of the roll !! Lobster rolls at similar restaurants were at least $5 more. Sat at the table in the front window. Great view of the harbor as well.
