We had to stop to find our way to the ferry so had a cup of coffee an a donut. By the time we left, we felt part of the family, had a muffin we'd never heard of before and several cups of coffee. It was more like home than home!

The Harbor Cafe is very down to earth operation. It's open for breakfast lunch and dinner. It has a 2 lobsters for $21.95 dinner that is as good as any up scale restaurant. The lobster rolls are great, the onion rings are made there and very good. They have a full bar, which is hard to believe with it's cafe... More

Monday night is 2-4-1 night. You pick from 10 or so entrees on the white board and get 2 dinners for $13.99. Such a deal. Huge pie selection.

We were in search or the perfect piece of pie and we found it. There were maybe 10 different types. We stuck to the blueberry and I must say it was the best crust I've ever had. The pie was great too! Nice waitress. We wanted to go back for lunch as the chowder looked great but we ran out... More

A week in Deer Isle always includes at least 2 meals at the Harbor Cafe. Our last lunch ( also open for breakfast and dinner too) we had fish sandwich ( the perfectly fried fish was twice the size of the bun), a lobster roll (with right mix of mayo and lobster in hot dog roll) which was yummy and... Harbor Cafe makes really good lobster rolls, but much of their food is less than mediocre. Their fish is frozen, not fresh, and the fish and chips that two of us ordered for dinner was so awful that we could not eat it. The pies here are generally excellent, but even though they looked delicious, we just wanted to go... More

Lots of food of mediocre quality. But a good deal on the 2 for 1 night. Typical American restaurant food.

Good seafood. Wonderful pies. Very value oriented. Varied menu. When you see locals in a restaurant you know you have chosen the right place. Would have given it a 5 except we had to ask to order the food, the drink server said she did not take those orders and the server who did we observed doing bookkeeping at the... More

I had the boiled lobster here which was a tad undercooked. My friend's fried scallops were the best I had tasted. Our waitress was not really good...very slow...and a bit of an attitude. I went back the next day for the lobster rolls which tasted very fishy. When the same waitress from the night before asked me how I like... More

American Breakfasts? Check. Great pie? Check. Know how to cook a New England fish fry? Check. Lobster dinner with bib? Indeed! Go here and get good value and a tasty "home style" meal.
