Good food, walking close

The restaurant was pretty full from early dinner (4:30-ish) about we ate 6:45 to 7. Lobster and FF and salad, it was good. We came back for breakfast next am--service was good and food too.

I just returned from Stonington, Maine, looking for a possible second home. This was the only restaurant open in the evnings for dinner so it was this place or no place. Haddock was good both nights...once baked and once in a sandwich. Save your money and skip the banana cream pie...it was pretty tasteless and pretty pricey.White bean and sausage... More

Oh my gosh prime rib (better than five star restaurants) and best lobster price in the USA. Waitress was very warm and kind to lobster newbies by teaching us how to dismantle our dinner. Call or stop by to make sure they have lobster for you. Best onion rings ever!!! Amazing location and such kind people. I challenge you to... More

Other restaurants in Stonington come and go, but the Harbor Café is open year round with reliably decent to good American diner comfort food, plus seafood. Very plain diner atmosphere, more locals than tourists eat here. The town itself can be rowdy on weekends. I took some guests here who wanted a little local color, and they got more than... More

All of the other restaurants in town were closed for the season so it was our only choice. We ate here 3 times, and got to have lobster and seafood, but it was in no way noteworthy or even delicious. If they could use an inferior ingredient they would (margarine instead of butter, processed cheese product instead of cheese, etc).... More

The Harbor Cafe was jumping on a Friday night in late October. Most people were there for the Friday night fish fry, but I hadn't had a good crab roll in a long time. It was great, and the blueberry crisp was a very nice dessert.

The 5 Texas ladies invaded Stonington, Deer Isle, ME. If they served food we ate there. We made it for Breakfast, lunch and dinner during our stay. Each meal was great and the staff became friends. Delightful community and friendly and we had the best time visiting Harbor Cafe.

It is hard to go wrong with fresh lobster! Friendly service and great food. We went there during off-peak season so this was about the only show in town for food and we weren't dissapointed.

Quaint village restaurant with affordable prices. I had the french toast with potatoes and it was very good. Hometown ambiance and friendly staff.
