Best breakfast in Stonington,

Susie Q's is seasonal and at the time we went, only open Thursday thru Sunday. Everything is made to order. The staff, chefs included, engage the customer in conversation as though you lived there. Yea I wouldn't ever go there again I ordered blueberry French toast. There were no blueberries to be found. Horrible the wait staff said" I guess the cooks have nt had enough coffee". Btw stop brewing your own coffee. Stick with seafood

They advertise "the best coffee in Stonington". Sadly, they may be right. We tried both their normal coffee and their espresso, and they were both flavor-less, hard to taste any coffee. We did not try the food, so I can't comment on that.

Whether you are walking in for the first time or the 100th, you will be treated like family. I cannot think of another place quite like this in our fast food age. The baked goods (Susie's) are sublime and she offers gluten free alternatives. Breakfast is justifiably popular, but stop by for lunch too. Above all, don't miss the coffee. Beans... More

Adorable, very Maine-ish, good food in generous quantity. Plus I liked the serve-yourself coffee. Blueberry pancakes here are special....buttermilk, perhaps? One problem: open only a few days a week....can't remember which. They serve lunch too, but we didn't try it.

We just spent a week in Little Deer Isle, and one of the highlights was our breakfast at Susie Q's, a lovely, unpretentious little spot just off the main town road. We had blueberry pancakes, which my 7-year-old daughter says were just irresistible... they were light and fluffy, and the local blueberries - plump and flavorful. We also had some... More

First of all, let me say I HATE pancakes, but heard they were good at this restaurant so we decided to try it. It extremely casual and when you walk in you tend to feel like you have walked into a party to which you haven't been invited. Coffee is help you self. On our first visit 50% of the... More

I've been buying cakes from Susan for years! When ever I have a big party, she always comes through for me. Today we celebrated my Aunt's 90th birthday with a fantastic carrot cake - most, flavorful, and just sweet enough - and a chocolate cake decorated with beautiful edible flowers and writing. Who could ask for more?? They were both... More

We had breakfast twice this week at Susie Q's and we cleaned our plates both times. Best of all is the service which is local, genuine and friendly. They serve excellent coffee and I though the prices were very reasonable.

Best coffee on the island. GREAT brkfst and lunch choices, favorites are crab quiche, pea soup, lobster stew, lemon pound cake, lemon squares, ALL the pies, especially strawberry rhubarb. Any of the soups Jack makes. Everything fresh and good. Wonderful cheese omelets blueberry pancakes.
